Although this forum is not the only social media platform. BioWare is looking for feedback in different places, I assume, and this includes the forum but it's not the only way to find out how people react to their game.

You are right. But that does not change anything for me. To me the BSN is a good average of the Bioware fan community and somewhat an average of the RPG community, even, because RPG fans by their products ... I don't think Bioware sees that in a much different light. Or do you yourself see the thousands upon thousands of BSN members, or yourself, differently?

Of course the BSN is just a part of everything. But we are not completely unimportant. I think the BSN is a substantial source of feedback for the devs. Even though we are just a part of the gaming community. The BSN is so vast ... you can find pretty much anything and anybody here - if you read long enough!

By the way ...
I never ment to express more than that. (I have absolutely no clue what the Bioware devs are thinking and so on ... How could I ?!)
I just hope that they are listening ... and take my guess! I simply ment that they reacted to fan-feedback ... Nothing more :)

Give me a break.  I'm not going to thank them for finally getting around to including things that should have been obvious from the start.

did I say you should?

I hope the patch fixes that bug with the palace ball in Orlais. Been waiting for a fix since mid december, so I can continue playing.

Whatever.  You said I shouldn't complain, which implies that I should be happy with what's included in this patch.  I'm not sure what point you're trying to make by asking a question like this.

Oh, I agree with you there. BioWare has always reacted to fan feedback :).

*pokes head inside a little*

Can I come out the anti-atomic bunker or is this thread still a battlefield?

There was never a threat, Teddie, not that I know of.

Just some ... patch-talk ... :D

P.s.: I didn't know you have a bunker? Sounds expensive!

It's actually a test site for weapons of mass futility.

You are so cute, Teddie! Your name fits ;)

When you ever throw a big "safety-party" or something, in your bunker, ... give us  heads up!

That could be our first real BSN party ...

I will check your bunker for weak points! I will bring my bazooka ...

For safety reasons only - of course

I have to say I hope this patch hits sooner rather than later. It got me all excited, so I booted up Inquisition again and tried, earnestly, to make an accurate re-creation of my own face in the character creator. And wouldn't you know it, once I got into natural lighting... turns out I had just made Krem XD.

Darn smoky green lighting.

The accuracy of this statement depends on the definition of "Bioware fan community." The people who hang out here are known to be substantially different from the player base in general. This has been true all the way back to NWN, where MP players and mod players were known to be vastly overrepresented on the boards.

It has everything to do with it. If there is no fix for it in the patch then we should organise an uproar, glorious boycott or something - after all we, consumers matter and BioWare is listening to us all the time. Overwhelmed by our unity, tears of honesty and will to fight the good fight, they would beg us to accept the fix!

Now, we don't know how should we react, we have no informations about the state of patch. We were stripped off possibility to expresss ourselves in its true, clear meaning.

We are in the dark, suffering from fears and relive traumatic experiences of DA:I launch. In fact, I consider myself DA:I launch survivor.

Did you sign up to be a tester? If not you should have. I imagine all your questions would have been answered, in the beta forums. If not by players, then perhaps devs.

In the meantime, you'll just have to wait like the rest of us. If like many, you waited "years" for another DA game, what's a few more months? People are still playing DAO, and how many years has that been out?

I work in government. Nothing happens quickly. Ever. You get used to the snails pace, but then again you have to dot every I and cross every t, because you are beholden to the public, and they just aren't forgiving of mistakes...

I read on a news source of...lesser repute that the patch would only be on PC. I know the beta will be, but all this is going to be added to consoles, yeah?

My thoughts are among similar lines...
I will not believe the good news before that patch reaches the consoles!

Beta patch is PC only - easier to push out regular updates since EA owns Origin.

When BioWare is satisfied with how patch 5 is, and it passes MS's and Sony's cert procedures, it will be available on the consoles as well with any and all added bells and whistles.

I hope we wont have to wait for too long though at this point DAI is essentially unplayable on XBox 1 and I hate having a game that I want to play but can't because bugs/glitches.
I am foolishly hoping for a early March Release date I want to play my game.

Sooo... is there any word yet on WHEN the patch will be released? Are they going to beta test it for a couple of months before release?

Just think of us PC players as the cook preparing your dinner. :P We get to spoil the food before you do, but you will get the food eventually.

I hope the patch fixes that bug with the palace ball in Orlais. Been waiting for a fix since mid december, so I can continue playing.

If you refer to the door bug, I think there are actually two clickable points on it...one doesn't work, but the other does. Just use it and you'll be fine (I found that bug, too, and had 0 problems going thou that quest).

Sooo... is there any word yet on WHEN the patch will be released? Are they going to beta test it for a couple of months before release?

Hope it takes only a month, and that it's released at mid-March :( But if they're really onto fixing everything they can find, I suppose I prefer to wait a bit more.

AFAIK, there's no reason to think the PC patch will be released before the consoles' one. PC is just the obvious platform to launch a public betatesting with, nothing else.

I did not. There is far better option: take NDA off the cart.
