Yeah , you guys are right !!! I want the Patch 5 now , not the beta but full , bug tested patch NOW , i want Bioware Dev's in my home making me dinner and cleaning while i talk about how many problems DAI has , i want 3 Npcs with my name , 1 with my wife's name , i want a Orlisian Design Castle in the Hinterlands, I want my Inquisitor , my Warden and Sandal in my Party , i demand , im a fan , im a costumer , i deserve respect , im a G O D from the Entitlement Land !!!

Ok , sorry , lets just wait for the patch like everyone else ? How about that ? Can we end the stupid war now ? How about now ?

PS : Sorry for my English.

Your english is fine!

... rofl !!!

I don't think that any of this discussion was so extremely bad ... since it is just words and emotions.

So, I don't believe in the existence of "entitlement-land"...

... OR that anybody posting here lives there - PERIOD!

And I would never assume that the fans want anything but the best for BioWare. Even if we start to whine and such ...

But it got funny for a while, nonetheless ... ^_^  I like funny :D

This was perfect! Exactly my thoughts. Too much whining and moaning going on and your comment was exactly what needed to be said.

It seems Bioware has yet again deceived us.

I have a strong suspicion that the Black Emporium will be SOLD as DLC, "later this year". It was only included in the Beta for testing purposes.

I may get banned for saying this, but I feel people deserve to know.

I wouldn't be surprised, considering how low they have fallen in recent times.

Ahh such noble prevention. To save us all from confusion. It is good to have such a competent big brother.

So, you're given free content that they're not forced to create or give at all. And you still complain. Because you wanna know what's in it.

Seriously, I've seen 7 year old kids that are more mature than that.

Yeah, excellent marketing tactic: to claim that the Patch 5 features TBE then later sell it as DLC. Because Bioware doesn't have a public relations office at all.

With a community like this, and people will still wonder why the devs barely post here....

Jeez - you people like your straw men, don't you? All I was saying was that an NDA on a patch is a bit silly. A much much better customer management policy would be to be open about what they are doing so that their customers can feel like progress is being made and judge whether or not the game is worth sticking with.

I'm actually not sure whether they have one. Their post launch support sure could use some work.

I for one know that most likely not every little bug will be fixed - they have never done this before on any title anyway - but the most glaring ones like banter being broken (after the last patch, I didn't have problems with it before) or abilities missing at point blank range should have been made a priority. I don't think I am being entitled if I expect major features of a title to work. I paid them sixty bucks - exactly that, not a check that was worth anything up to sixty, or which might or might not bounce. For that, I can expect a product whose major features work. I can't send them forty bucks and then later patch that up to sixty, after all.

As consumer I have every right to know if they are working on the fix that makes one of the main races unplayable. Remains are all that I see, a small creature, rodent perhaphs.

About TBE? Well, I guess we'll know soon enough, and then some mouths will be shut. Either mine or the conspiranoics' ones.

Exactly! Kudos!

Polish is missing in every possible way. This was not even close to ready for release, in November! In that regard I really reject to wear "rose colored glasses" ...

When I pay 70Euros (79 US-Dollars) for a game on console, I think I can expect them to polish it before release - not 3-9 month after! I know it slowly but surely becomes somewhat of an industry standard these days. But I don't think that this makes things any better for me or - more importantly - others, who cannot even play this "bad boy"! If you then take into account that, on console, we get no mods and no access to the developer console ... all of this gets a pretty sour note! (I don't know for a fact - but I believe the British and the Australians pay even higher prices.)

I know they cannot force the game to have no bugs ... But they can take the time they need to do more before release.

It is the gaming community who pays the bills - not EA!

I don't give a F*** about the PR strategies of EA and the damn holiday sales in the US !!!

(And I don't say this as a gamer but as a customer who has to work for his money ...)

If you'll read the license agreement, you'll find that you don't. And the race isn't "unplayable." I pretty much hate all the body animations -- they make most characters look like chimps when they walk -- but it didn't make the game "unplayable." (Not that even unplayability would grant you the right to visibility into internal fix lists and prioritizations.)
And keep in mind the behavior modification aspect of this discussion. Is BioWare more or less likely to respond to you now (thus encouraging similar customer behavior in the future)? If you spent any time on the old BSN, you'll know that they've "been there, done that," and aren't likely to go there again.

License agreements as such do not hold any legal power where I stand. And yes, it is unplayable. It is rpg game and this broken-glued race is ruining immersion by forcing fractures on my character. It did make it unplayable. They are not responding to anyone except agenda adoring people. I welcome your BioWare apologism though.

That isn't what "unplayable" means in English.

And if you really think you have a right to know what's in a patch, why aren't you off someplace getting yourself laughed out of court?

Unplayable may mean many things.

I have the right to know about their intent and progress on the bug fixes that render game unplayable. Why? Too much hassle.

I think we have a major semantics issue here.

"playable" means "able to be played."

"un-" is a negation prefix.

Therefore, "unplayable" means "not able to be played." As English words go, it's pretty semantically unambiguous. It does not mean "I don't want to play it," "I can't stand to play it," or "playing it makes me physically ill," all of which stray pretty far into the realm of subjectivity.

In this context, "right" means "a power or privilege to which one is justly entitled" (Merriam-Webster). Thus you do not have the right to know, under the only "legal power" (as you put it) that you have -- the license agreement. There is a difference, you know, between your subjective reality and the objective kind.

But Leonard Nimoy has died, so all this matters even less than it did before -- if that it possible.

Yes, exactly 'not able to be played' fits just right. Not able to be played as elf male, considering the nature of game and its purpose, that is RPG-immersion.

As I have said, where I stand the license agreement has no legal power in this matter. It is not the first time when EULA is against certain countries' laws.

At this point, I'm pretty sure that elves are working as intended and they're just weird looking. Probably, whenever a dev logs in to clarify this, they see one of Lord Surinen's posts and need to take a shower.
