It makes it so much stronger when you put 'another, almost like a manipulation. Yes, they should inform us about the progress on the bug fixes.

Well, they won't share it with you, Surinen. You kind of have to hold tight there...

Patch 6...

Okay, now, I'm waiting some excuses. If the new patch is not enough to fix all the issues of the game, it means that the game is a lot more broken that they say. And we are talking about the PC version here, The PS360 version will never ever be patched because she need too much work to be fully functional.

Patch 6 for PC.

Nothing for PS360.

If Bioware hate me with the bottom of their guts, why must I stay polite and patient? Seriously?

Now we're talking about lawsuits over a patch NDA?  Seriously?  This has been one very weird week around here, even more so than usual.

I hope this isn't just me, but seems like some members of the BSN decided that they all got bored at once and take LSD when I wasn't looking.  If so, I don't want any because that looks like a bad trip.

Lol, not its not just you..

Don't knock it. This thread has provided some serious at work entertainment. When you deal with numbers all day long, this level of bizarro is just right.

Ridiculous, a game of six months still incomplete. Still has to go out patch 5 and patch 6 already announced, enough with this policy! (Write on the packaging, if you buy this game will you do with the betstester incomplete game). i do not want to beta testers. Last time I buy.
I'd love a refund, you had to say first. your games are bought after two years.
How I regret having bought it.

I don't want to come across as a complete weirdo ... but the moment I saw the game as a whole after my first playthrough I really thought, this will take a full year and over 10 patches to fix. Even half of it - half as good as needed ... <_<

And you are polite, imho! :)

BioWare needs to hear that they suck sooooooo baaaaad with programming ... that we already have payed some contract killers

And EA needs to understand that you cannot rush the developement time of such a huge title as if it were Battlefield 4 or something. Also, I have heard that that title was a broken mess as well ...

I didn't hear much on the launch of BF4, but I know that the launches of both SimCity and of The Sims 4 went very awry.   May EA never be so stupid as to do forced online play ever again.  Logging into the servers long enough to import my world state is one thing.  I can (and always do) jump right offline after that, from Origin as well as the DA servers.  I get better frame rates that way.  If I had to deal with some of the crap I did just to play Diablo 3, that would be a limit crossed.

The title of this thread

Patch 5 & 6 ft. The Black Emporium!

Is completely inaccurate. Neither patch, once released officially, will feature the Black Emporium.

It was only included in patch 5 for testing purposes.

Why are people complaining or worried about six patches? Many games need far more than that and, get them. Some patches are to add features, some to repair or improve the game. Would you rather the game stay as is for six months to a year then get one giant patch, or do you want smaller improvements and additions along the way? I prefer smaller more often.

If you refer to the door bug, I think there are actually two clickable points on it...one doesn't work, but the other does. Just use it and you'll be fine (I found that bug, too, and had 0 problems going thou that quest).

Hope it takes only a month, and that it's released at mid-March :( But if they're really onto fixing everything they can find, I suppose I prefer to wait a bit more.

AFAIK, there's no reason to think the PC patch will be released before the consoles' one. PC is just the obvious platform to launch a public betatesting with, nothing else.

Tried it. Didn't work. My Orlesian Court approval is down to almost zero now, anyway, so its probably no point in continuing anyway. Marvelous quest design.

I cant believe this is being done on patch 5, should've been in the game to start with, would've helped me leave the frostbacks quicker after countless restarts

I disagree with you: he has no facking idea on how patches work.

But since when not having a clue about what you're talking about has become an impediment to actually do it?

Meanwhile, some self-soothing strategies...

1. Reloaded the original, wonderful Mass Effect, installed the MEUITM mod, and reminded myself again what a truly outstanding RPG can be like, in spite of rough edges. Self-Soothe-O-Meter level: 10 of 10

2. Reloaded DA:O with some similar texture update mods and found it interesting but much more tedious than I remembered. Uninstalled and went back to playing ME. Self-Soothe-O-Meter reading: 2 of 10

3. Started rewatching all three seasons of Star Trek TOS. Yes, it's for the gazillionth time, but City on the Edge of Forever still gets me right in the feels, and watching how Nimoy evolved the Spock character is, well, fascinating. Self-Soothe-O-Meter reading: 8 of 10

4. Breyer's Natural Vanilla Ice Cream: Self-Soothe-O-Meter reading: off the scale

I'm not fully convinced you know how patches work.

I know for sure patches are not meant for corrupting saves, giving issues and making the experience less interesting. For now, the 4 Patches give me lot more problems than fixes.

So what? Bioware love to hate his customers? We, the old-gen gamers have the silent treatment since the very beginning. To begin with, the game was so heavily glitched that some people can still not begin the game. Others, like me, have a less and less stable version with each patch.

I can't make Inquisiton judgments. I can't talk to my team at all in SkyHold. I can't hunt all the dragons because some of them get an infinite health bar. I can't use some skills because it teleport me so high I'm instantkill. Each and every patches give me a new problem.

If Bioware want to make even more patches to destroy even more my copy, I must applause?

It's not Bioware's fault you're trying to play a next-gen game, with next-gen software on an old-gen system with old-gen hardware. I'm guessing you have never played any game that was ever released between generations before, because this happens literally all the time. Its technologically impossible for both versions to be comparatively stable when both versions are built on a similar framework, but for different devices. That would be like downloading Windows 8.1 on a computer from 2005, it might work, but it won't work very well.

Not that this is even relevant. Every time they tamper with a new build to fix old problems, new ones are introduced. That's how software development works. The other thing about bugs is that they're unintended, so you insinuating that Bioware is doing this deliberately is disingenuous at best.

No friend. The Japanese games are wonderful, deep and almost always perfect on day one. They do not want to pay beta test, lower development costs and reduce time too. The absurd thing and that you supported these horrendous policies. Everyone does what he wants, but I certainly never buy more game bioware to DayOne (perhaps after years as I do now with all Western games) I bought the DAI DayOne because there was little on ps4 and I was a fan, but I'll wait for Mass Effect years (if it's worth it)

Im not a betatester !

If that stuff is not in there ... I won't buy a single DLC for this junk!

Damn it, I totally thought they were kind of comming to their senses?

If they cannot give in and apologize in this very small way for releasing a completely broken game and even charging full price for it ...

This is like the ME3 ending discussion all over again! They never gave in - not one inch! They made the Citadel DLC and I totally forgave them. But they never said anything about the bad ending really ... Just condesending here and there. this is not about entitlement or some stupid childlike thoughts and feelings. This is about the customer relation ship for me! There are enough businesses out there who know how to behave towards their custzomers - and they are doing fine! Why do these EA execs and for quite some time now, BioWare, (since EA bought them to be exact) behave like cavemen or pirates? It is not exactly "polite" to take your customers - with whom you have communication throughout the year - for morons and numbnuts! The VG industry seems to take their customers for fools!

If they screw all of this patching up ... in other words: don't get it done ... they won't get my money ever again!

Two games.

Far Cry 4

GTA V

Strange no? They both work well. On old-gen and new-gen.

I buyed this game at the same price than you with the bioware promise in head : "fewer NPC on the screen, less SFX".

So, you are basically saying I'm stupid to belive Bioware? I know it for sure, I just want that everyone know it.

The game works well enough for me. I'm not mad.

Yeah, a few minor things are broken, but it's no big deal.

BioWare should just open up the console options to us so we can force-load quests that are broken and force-spawn items that don't show up. That would provide a workaround for most bugs, such as Ser Barris' chore table missions not showing, or The Fall mosaics being virtually unreachable.

But no, they'll probably just make the game worse by "fixing" more exploits and causing more bugs.

Like I said, I'll stick with patches 1 and 2 because the game works just fine for me. For everything else, there's mods.
