I have to admit I'm more baffled at the fact that their 'patch list' for Patch 5 was completely devoid of fixing issues they themselves created through their previous patches, i.e. the glitch within the 'Under Her Skin' quest where Xbox One users who chose to pick the templars are immediately kicked to the home screen and the game quits when attempting to begin the quest.

You would think at the very least, they could man up and fix the issues they have acknowledged having created instead of simply giving a bizarrely half-assed feeling attempt at 'fixing and updating' issues like exploits that do far less damage to the game's playability than say..not being able to even BEGIN some quests let alone finish them.

Not going to lie, severely disappointed.

Which most of them are level requirements and not even good to begin with.

Beside... What about those companion? I'm pretty sure those unique loot are not enough for them.

What does the level requirement have to do with anything? It isn't as if nearly every other RPG to exist doesn't have level requirements for gear.

I guess they gave up on the huge patch thing then?

If it's chest farming that's "fixed", I am going to be sooooo p*ssed off.

In one of my playthroughs, I found maybe three t3 armour schematics by the endgame. And none of them were for the class I was playing. I actually legit thought there just weren't t3 armours not sold by the dog for a bit. Now, t3 hafts and dagger grips I had plenty of. Farming is the only thing that makes crafting reliably useable with the loot system as it currently stands. I guess I can just straight up cheatengine them in if it comes to that, but boy will I feel bad for the console players who like crafting as much as I do.

Hopefully they just mean the infinite amulets of power in crestwood? It's the only loot exploit worth fixing I can think of.

I'm excited to see the changes to companion AI though. Especially the charging bull overshoot fix. And storage will be nice.

If it's true, then I hope that we'll be able to obtain these schematics through Black Emporium.

True, but it doesn't make logical sense to include The Black Emporium as part of a Patch 5 Beta (if Bioware never actually intended to include BE in official Patch 5), for the main reason I mentioned which is:  Bugs / issues could result and some of those could be attributed to The Black Emporium.  Basically, don't overcomplicate the Patch 5 Beta by allowing people to Beta test a feature you (meaning Bioware) already know isn't going to be in official Patch 5...

That'd be the logical thing to do. Unfortunately, the world is running out of logic faster than it's running out of oil....

Ohh, patch notes! I'm sure they'll finally fix the banter... Oh. Exploit fixes and no more music in Val Royeaux. Can barely contain my excitement now.

After reading patch 5 notes, I have got 2 questions. 1. How is this the biggest patch to date and is black emporium going to be included in the up coming patch or not?

So again, bioware resorted to the PR BS. Very sneaky bioware, very sneaky...

I say good luck with them trying, charging for a patch is the fastest way i'll hit the uninstall button and never buy their crap again..

I already gave up on the Battlefield Franchise after BF3:CoD Edition... I can always do the same with Dragon Age..

I didnt mean they would charge for the Patch I was referring to the Black Emporium if they tried to charge us for the Patch B-Ware would be dead to me.

You can't charge for patches - both MS and Sony hold that policy. The Black Emporium could very well end up being paid DLC, but there's really no way to know either way until BioWare give us a status update.

Yeah lets take this feature that should have been in the game from the start and make it into a paid Dlc as I said if they do this I wont spend a dime on it unless it adds a whole lot of Customization options like New Hair Options because I'll be damned if I am gonna pay them for the same CC period.

Well see to me when you put up details about patch 5 and add the BE in with it, well that to me is the complete patch..

The wording is pretty straightforward IMHO - I think however that people got a bit too excited and misread it (reading comprehension FTW).

In any case, that doesn't mean that it won't be released as an add-on or DLC soon enough, maybe even at the same time.

Or

You know they could be up front and tells us to our faces whats what...

Because wording it cryptic and then dropping the ball.. yet again always works for the best ..right..

I also would refuse to pay for the Black Emporium on its own.

If EA really wanted to charge for it (remember pricing is not up to BioWare), then it would make more sense to include it with the story DLC they're cooking up.

Downloaded the patch on PS4 and went to the Still Ruins and checked on schematic farming. It still works! The only change to the loot system that I can see is that I can no longer farm Dorian's amulet. Schematics still drop. Thank the maker!

Well...Guys, the title was "Beta test 5 patch FEATURING Black Emporium"

Do u truly believe that dlc like that will be free?

Bioware do their work and nothing wrong with gaining money from it.

The fact of the matter is The Black Emporium by itself isnt worth a dime if theres nothing new in the CC I cant justify paying B-Ware for the ability to use the same CC again sorry but not gonna happen.
