Its not just the temperature on Rannoch, anyone apart from quarians or turians would not be able to eat or drink anything grown there. Would need constant supplies of human food. the heat isnt that big of a problem if they live close to polar regions and use air-conditioning.

As a Talimancer myself I understand the problems but I think for shepard Tali would be worth it.

Personally I'd find food to be the easiest thing to bypass. Nothing's even keeping Shepard, that I can tell, from making a farm if the wanted to. Either way, importing food shouldn't be an issue. I mean, my Shepard grew up on spaceships his entire life. So I imagine he's used to having his food imported and not harvested locally.

The heat though... Not something I could stand, I'm sure. Air conditioned housing only goes so far - I imagine he plans to leave the house once in a while. I live in the south so I know a thing or to about heat. It gets so hot out that the thought of leaving the comfort of home gives me dread because just taking a few steps outside can usually end with panting and wet clothes soaked in sweat. Though thats probably tame compared to what Rannoch is. It's general surface temps are more than double that of Earth. I don't know precisely what that would account to but it sounds unpleasant.

Ashley: When Shepard triggered the Crucible, Ashley was heard bemoaning the fact that she should have stayed with Shepard.  Shortly after a mysterious signal is received on the normandy, she is reunited with shepard on earth as he recovered from crush injuries he sustained lying under a pile of rubble.  After his recovery and several months of operations to remove his cybernetics, Ashley and Shepard settled down on the garden planet of Ilos where they set up 'The Chantry', as well as the Circle of Magi and the Templars.

Garrus:  After the Shepard incident, Garrus went back to Omega and became a gun for hire.  Renaming himself Archangel II he was most popular with the Dancers who quite often were shortchanged and Garrus made a most efficient debt collector.

Tali: Tali went home to Rannoch and set up a home with Geth 12435469.2.  They have 2.7 cyberchildren.

EDI and Joker: Months after the shepard incident, Joker was hospitalised after trying to interface with EDIs female port.  Unfortunately he mistook it for a power socket and is currently undergoing major reconstructive surgery.

Liara: After the Shepard Incident, it became apparent to Liara that nobody liked her.  She decided to go and live on her own.  She moved to a planet where the natives were italian cannibals.  Years later when explorers went to the planet in search of Doctor T'Soni, they discovered the locals favorite dish was Spagetti Carved Liara.

Miranda: Miranda came through the Shepard incident unscathed, due to her well developed frontal crumple zones.  She joined a travelling actors group that went touring the universe performing a michael jackson tribute musical.  She was last seen with a monkey and 56 children heading into a theme park.

Jack: Jack left Grissolm Academy to study back on earth.  The following year the "Psychotic Biotic" Killed all her fellow students and is currently on death row awaiting execution.

The Krogan: The Krogan were left to their own devices and went to war with each other.  There were no survivors.

The Geth: After the war, the geth settled on rannoch, where corrosion eventually took its toll and they all became non-functional.

Zaeed: Zaeed now lives a fruitful life as the frontman for heavy metal prog rock band "The Killers"

I gotta say, even as a Liaramancer this is hilarious.

ME1 was very poorly put together to the point they were probably lucky it sold as well as it did. They had to do something especially since they were no longer a platform prestige product but an EA studio that needs to produce results. Fortunately both of its sequels are much better designed games.

Some of the backlash is a little funny since to me this series always played like a TPS with dialogue options. Other than a 15 minute section on Noveria, ME1 was very much a linear talk to these people and then go do your corridor shootbangs. It was just very bad at the shooting part.

I have gotten a good laugh from some of the ME1 4eva! types on NeoGAF. I think some people will latch onto anything with a whiff of complexity no matter how poorly designed as long as it lets them posture as an elite standing above the casual/dudebro menace.

I agree completely

ME1 on these forums is overrated as hell

Its considered to be this perfect ME game with no faults whatsoever (lol)

it had the freaking mako, bad gameplay, bad voice acting in some parts, no character depth (most of the squad were walking codex entries, only in ME2 and 3 the characters got finally awesome)

I also think it was boring until Virmire then it got really good no doubt and it stayed that way until the ending

ME2 and ME3 aren't perfect (especially THAT ending) but ME1 was never better

They are all good games that have faults

Shepard only takes a final breath before dying?

That's my alternate headcanon, then Keeper 12 walks up, digs a hole and rolls Shep's body into it.

Fin.

Food can be grown in an enclosed hydroponics facility, since you wouldn't have to deal with issues with Rannoch's soil or anything like that, and keeping up supplies would be pretty easy when accounting for the sustenance of just one person. Assuming Shepard still commands the Normandy, I can't imagine Shepard would spend every waking hour on that planet though, so bringing stuff back should be a breeze.

The same way I, and many, MANY others, managed to play through all the God of War games despite despising Kratos with every fibre of our being, the setting and gameplay kept me constantly coming back, not the boring ass protagonist(or in Kratos' case, psychotic protagonist) or any of the supporting characters.

That's all it takes for me to like a video game, a good setting and/or good gameplay, that's all I need. Make the protagonist and supporting characters as unlikeable as you want, that won't prevent me from playing your game.

Just the opposite for me.  If I don't like the characters and story I'll pitch it or sell it.  If I like the story and characters, I'll play it for years or until the cd is destroyed.

As a mod user, my Shepard got picked up after destroying the Reapers then had an awesome party at my apartment. Waking up with my LI we all walked back to the Nomandy saying our last few words, then boarded...

A happy ending :D

Yes!

That's not to say I don't have a Shepard who died, because I do, but I don't have multiple Shepards who died from burns after taking that last breath.  PC games with great mods are really good for correcting this type of horror.

Yeah, this is the same for me. Unless it's a simple platformer where the protagonist basically just jumps on stuff and speaks in text and funny noises, hating the protagonist is a surefire way to make sure I lose all interest, and why I can never complete any God of War game (uberspartan that jizzes rage isn't quite my thing XD).
