Frankly, as a horrible hoarder, I've come to appreciate the inventory limitations in DAI. Lord knows how much useless junk I'd have stowed in a chest if I had one.  Sometimes unwelcome decisions can turn out to be for the best.  It's the same for me with the new attribute system.  I would have preferred to be able to assign them directly, but I've learned to utilize the passive system and gear to make my character able to do about what I want. My wish list gets shorter the longer I play this game.

I'm in casual mode, right now with a two handed warrior and I'm having loads of fun. I may do this again with another build of some kind. Respeccing is already available, so I'm not exactly sure what a Black Emporium will offer that's not available already. I'm glad that people that still want storage, got it, but the only thing left that want is auto loot. Oh and please do something about the everything challenged companion AI's. lol.

I don't know if anyone else will agree with me, but I find the Frostbite engines feature set very intriguing for the future of cRPG's. This is the only 64 bit engine I've played that I liked. Give Bioware a couple more years with it and we should see a truly amazing game.  DA4, anyone?

I imagine the new schematics, loot, and appearance changers have people interested as well.

Sadly, cosmetics don't interest me much. And now that I now what items I can sell and what I should keep, I don't even have the need to upgrade my inventory. Still, I guess it's useful for others. I wish they'd get around to do some story DLCs and/or expansions. The game is sorely lacking in that area.

Maker knows I'm tired of closing green Vs and fetching engagement rings from dead husbands.

If you've played DAO or DA2 when you right clicked on an enemy your character attacked them themselves without you holding the button down, while they attacked you just choose what abilites to use and on who. It was a lot better then holding the mouse down, I miss the old Dragon Age controls so much. PC is really lacking.

Thank you Bioware so so much.

I really hope I can bind it to my mouse!

I wish I had an auto attack button on the PS4. Having to hold down the trigger makes for minor annoyances when I need to switch between characters. Maybe if I hold down the trigger it should just set it to auto attack or if I simply slick on the enemy to attack them from the tactical menu it might stay attacking?

Look, it's all well and good that they are putting this stuff in there.  It's an extremely nice gesture.  But, no announced release date?  How long will it be in beta?   I mean, is this even worth getting excited for?  Maybe it'll come out this summer!  At that point, does anyone even want it anymore?  Are people still going to be playing the game in droves in six months?  I'm not trying to sound negative here.  It's just..like pretty much how I feel about everything DA:I related... a kind indifferent shrug.

Now someone let me know when some story DLC is out.  Then I'll give you a more appropriate hype level than a patch that needs to be beta tested by fans that might only be available for the PC....

I do love me some Xenon the Antiquarian, though.

Bioware is out to make as much money as quckly as possible and that means taking out features we all loved, simplfing the game, short game, and optimized mainly for current console's - PS4 and XBox One. Makes sense actually.

They had told us its a PC game made with PC gamers in mind, etc., but it never was and even after patch 5.....still not addressed. That tells us it probably won't be.

Bioware will only focus on a DLC or two and maybe add critical features taken away, like a storage chest and DA2 emporium for customizing items and buying and creating new gear. That's it folks.

Bioware does what they think is best for the DA series and tells us what they like and want us to like, yet we are the paying customers.

If they actually listened to us gamers,

- storage chest would of been in DAI at launch, same with an emporium, optimized for PC k+m, change all items between party characters on the fly, adds realism like night and day, buy gifts to romance, pet(s), add some complexity back to the skill trees, more tactical rpg and not more a hack and slash game requiring a controller, chat with any party characters whenever you wish, usefull side quests based on all party characters, main story and plots, long game, really awesome boss ending, etc, etc, etc. ability to use attributes and no auto....making DAI more a rpg instead of an action hack and slash simplified game with some rpg elements in it. You get the idea.

It's going to come out on console when it goes through certification. The reason they're doing a beta patch was because the major patches needed a hot patch because the devs weren't able to pick up the new bugs it caused. They're just allowing a few more people to test for any new bugs before releasing it to everyone.

Uh. Yes, they make a product that they think people will like and then make it available for sale. Naturally, if you don't like it you needn't buy it.

What is this, capitalism 101?

I'll gladly agree with the OP the very moment they add\announce the face codes.

Painting armors and an extra inventory slots are cool, and such. But even lack of all those features combined is not remotely as annoying as lack of an option to reuse the same face for another PT. Especially considering that one (possibly) has to use CC more than once during the game. And no, Mirror alone does not solve the issue, it can help to make minor tweaks (like hair), but it does no help to recreate the same face in any way.

My point was, if Bioware was actually listening to their customers, us, they wouldn't be systematically removing features we all loved from the DA games, which is exactly was has been going on since DAO. Too many posts here of, why did Bioware take this or that out of DAI??? More posts on, come on Bioware, we need this or that back!!!

And then Bioware honestly thinks they know what is best for us??? No, Bioware doesn't know what's best for us gamers, as evident on the forums.

Bioware is out to make as much money at all costs, and that means shorter game, simpflied, take away features everyone loved until us gamers really start complaining and only then, a critical feature here or there is added back in a patch. The more you take away from a game, the less it is a great game.

When you say its oprimized for PC gamers, etc., and its not at launch and only for controller users, they lied to the PC users to get more sales. It's all about the money folks.

If Bioware did what us gamers would of liked and loved, this forum would be very empty compared to now.

They also need to test their games before release. Way too many bugs. It's like we bought a beta game and are testing it for them, so they release patches. We do the testing, their jobs for them and they patch it after. Saves them even more money.

Always add new features to the next game, DAI and never take away previous features, from DAO and DA2 that us gamers loved. Don't make short games. Don't simplify games, some complexity is a good thing and gets you more into the game. Less hack and slash and more tactical. The more you can do in DAI, the better it will be. The less you can do in DAI, very restrictive and to what rpg's do offer, the less of a great game it will be.

Oh Canada, Oh Canada, We stand on guard for thee.........I am Canadian. ;)

Right, and who cares that DAO or DA2 even had the different game-mechanics and controls, right? Putting the pause into MK won't ever turn it into NwN,

The whole point of DAI combat system is about the reactivity and action. Those who need neither have their tactic mode + turnbase-like 'slowmo'.

Also, I highly doubt that they are going to allow player run&jump while autoattacking. It does not make any sense. Which means that player is going to toggle it back all the time. Neither DAO nor DA2 had jumping. And neither required much reaction (other then stepping away from AOE may be), especially on normal.

Another thing that bothers me is the way they are going to address this feature for the consoles\ PC gamepad controls. I'd be very angry to see that I still need to hold the trigger (PC +XB360 pad) while my K&M loving friend can drink his bear between CDs.

Bear drinkers! That MUST be a Canadian.

Anyway, I don't get it. You think the feature is dumb, but you'd be mad if someone got it and you didn't? What do you care?

The overall reaction to DAI has been intensely positive. Paying customers, man. And personally, I don't think of BioWare as a paternal figure. I don't look to gaming companies to do things that are best for me. They deliver a product, I like it or I don't. I complain, they listen or they don't. I don't take their responses as their thoughts on what's best for me. You may be misinterpreting your relationship with the market.
