Hi :)

First of all, Dragon Age Origins has:

- great story

- superb music

- good quests

- good interaction with other characters

- good unique things, like the FADE (I love fighting in the fade or the dream-world)

as a sceleton, ghost, mouse, ....

All great, accept what it's destroying it:

---------------------------------------------------

- difficulty to high, even on easy

- to less skill points, specially when using "Leliana" and stuff

If you want her to become, something else than arrow/bow, it takes ages to change her

Even for the Warden, you need 3 conversation points for redcliffe.

Or you loose 2 gold pieces (dwarf & tavern help)

If I do that, I can't fight decently as a mage.  Spêlls are interupted + no extra tactic slots.

Therefor,

I never loved so much cheating

- Ultimate game version, don't buy it. It crashes every 5 minuts

Buy the cheap standard version and upgrade only to version: 1.03

- Use only "Stereo" because when it's trying: 5.1 sound, you get small sound cracks

Gonna play now back, my number 1 game.

None can beat that game: Gothic 2 Night of the Raven   and Gothic 3

I've uploaded trailers as wel. Search for: "Gothic Wesley" in Google videos ofcourse.

I must say: that Dragon Age Inquisition is a lot better.

I like it more. Keep improving Dragon Age ....

If you suck at DAO gameplay here's a little cheat.

Press "Hold" on your companion at a certain spot far away from enemies. Then control one character and run into battle. Make the enemies chase you back to your team that is on hold. Some enemies will follow you all the way and some will stop at certain point. This way, the enemies are spread out and alone so they tend to suck. Now just kill them all.

It's exploiting AI but whatever.

Also you shouldn't have bothered changing Leliana. She already has points in archery and you can't get rid of them without modding so it's best to just go with it.

When I used Leliana  before, I was saving up arrows for her, the whole game, till the end.

It seems there aren't enough arrows, to kill all groups of enemies.

Unless I must buy again.

Therefor she fights more with sword and dagger.

Therefor, I wanna have her to be: "2 swords fighting" like Zevran.

Because she did that 90% of my first play time.

All these points in arrow where also waisted then.

The only advantage I have now in my 3th play TRYING, I'm now on redcliffe after the Mages Tower.

So I still can experiment.

But still, there's a lack off skill points, only 1 point, every 3 levels-up ?

A little bit to stingy? for my taste.

I use Alistair to taunt, so they go after him. He's aggressive.

Wynne is healer and carefully. So she's almost never attacked. She runs away and heals.

Leliana (stealing + disable traps) is using sword/dagger, also programmed to protect me (I'm a damaging mage, no healer)

You don't need to buy arrows. Fire arrow and Ice arrow and all that are pointless. Archers have infinite normals arrows anyway. Rogues are too squishy at early level anyway, best to keep them at distance.

I did the mage tower with the same build you had. I was a mage who just spammed fireball and Winter's grasp , Alistair was my tank, Wynne was my healer and Leliana was my ranged archer. Also at least get the first heal spell since it only takes 1 point to get it and get Force field and Prison Break so tougher enemy are forced out of battle.

Also stealing is kinda pointless since you'll hardly ever get any great items with it.

Edit: Also you can have an infinite supply of health potions and lyrium potions in DAO so your mage can just go crazy on enemies.

But seriously, don't engage him. He posted something very similar a few days ago. He is either trolling or trying way too hard to parody the differences between tactical DAO and hack and slash DAI. The derailment of his last thread with some funny offtopic hasn't resulted in locking the thread, so I would suggest leaving this one to die. Or derail it with even more offtopic.

That's because this game sucks at many things.

Make a better game, like INQUISITION, and then you don't hear any complaints anymore.

DAM, ORIGINS is FULL with bugs and impossible things to survive,

and to less SKILLS.

Make a REASONABLE / CHALLENGING game, and then you don't need to listen to COMPLAINS anymore

BE REASONABLE with you're settings (easy, normal, ...) I'm sick of dying 10000 times !!!

It's not my fault, it's you'rs !!!!

So DON'T complain about me, when it's YOUR FAULT !!!

The internet is FULL of complains about the difficulty.

Yet, you all don't do anything about it.

You keep silence. Even, with you're ULTIMATE game version.

You even dare to sell it, when it's CRASHING every 2 MINUTES,

and it's not my PC. The forums are FULL of complaints !!!!!!!!!!

So again, It's not my FAULT, it's YOU'RES !!!!

Instead of JABBING again against you're customars,

do something on this problem.

Or soon, nobody wanna buy you're games anymore ...

No, the opposite way .........

3, ... 2, ... 1 ...

And again a customar LOST !!!!!!!!

And you hope to be: the game of the year, in the futur ???

Good joke.

And even if you can WIN it 1 time,

you sure can't win it as many times as: Gothic 2 and Gothic 3

None can beat these.

With all 3 games, 90% worldwide popularity, forget it ..........;

I did the fade by myself last time I played and it worked -there was one Pride demon at the Warden fort that I had to give up on as it reset too often, which was the bug in question, but other than that it worked.

Yea it can be hard to get started - wish they'd fix that character creator, but if your OCD is high enough it will eventually work. :D

The ultimate edition is better than the standard ED. You get all the DLC for cheaper than buying it seperately. I used to get crashes all the time until I got the ultimate edition

DAO is NOT too easy. It's just about right for many gamers. After the initial play-through I did have to add mods to make the difficulty higher because the game was too easy even at the hardest setting.

Here is the difference though:

DAO takes real intelligence and skill to play. You NEED to program tactics across characters to succeed. You NEED to be intelligent in your approach to combats. You can, for example, often lure a few enemies away from a pack and pick them off a few at a time rather than fighting all of them at once.

So if you are trying to play it like DAI, where you need the skill of a barely-trained monkey and the intelligence of a pet-rock, then you are going to have trouble. Approach DAO in a VERY different way, and you'll soon find yourself mastering it. It's a lot of fun to try different tactics combinations and see what works best, or to try and accomplish the same end result in different ways. Once you've done that, and even the hardest setting becomes too easy, you'll be able to install mods from the nexus to increase the difficulty and continue to enjoy the game for years to come.

Also, unlike DAI, commands issued in DAO to companions usually work. Even with tactics you'll eventually want to take control of your companions and directly issue commands. You may not have been trying that because if you started with DAI you might assume that function to be broken and given up on controlling anyone except your own character. But it works well in DAO and is a necessary tool.

Too difficult? This is one of its best features.. And, its a cakewalk on normal.. Hard is a bit hard, but nightmare is do-able.. If nightmare is doable, then the lower difficulties, shouldnt be "too hard"..  Inquisition is like candyland.. There is NO difficulty in it.. How is that fun? And theres no less skill points in Origins, than in Inquisition.. Except that you have TWICE as many options on where to place them.. More abilities, possibilities, and combos..

And, i dont understand what youre saying after "to less skill points"... Im not attacking you, im guessing English is not your 1st language, im just unable to understand..Cheating because you cant respec halfway through the game? Im pretty sure this is how most  crpgs were , back in the day, whenm they were good.. And difficult.. You play your character, play another nexttime.. You dont suddenly change Whats youve learned halfway through your journey..If anything is immersion breaking, its going from an assassin, then suddenly youre a Bard.. You "forgot" how to be stealth, and learned how to tell stories instead? Silliness!

Ultimate Editiin is what most of us play now.. Works fine for me.. Though with Origins installed, if forces you to play the digi version.. Doesnt let you use your physical disk..
