Can someone explain me how to split paragraphs in the description field? Whatever I try, it's a mess. Hopefully Werelynx will help as usual  :D.

Sure, I will do the coming week-end. My idea was to have a few days before loading it on the Nexus in case a nasty bug requires a hotfix.

 

No matter how thoroughly you test it, there's always one last last bug  :huh:. So far, nothing reported, let's cross fingers ...

I am also very curios about the romances.. I liked the crazy sex and all the hot chicks from 16 Cygni as well as the long awaited "rewards" in Sarmates! What kind of approach did you choose this time?

As far as I know, access to adult content is automatically granted -- you just have to turn the filter on or off.

Is the npc in the kitchen supposed to be hostile. She's dead now so won't be joining me any time soon. there were two other named corpses in the kitchen, Were they supposed to be dead?

You mean in the palace?  Surely she shouldn't be hostile. Yes the others where supposed to be dead. (onSpawn script). The girl is spawned when you make your choice.

 

Nothing in your override that could interfere? I'd suggest to rename it temporarily and create an empty override.

I will try that and see how I get on. I have a builders override at the moment but that does not mean there's no conflict.

 

I called her up as a human ranger (scout) just for completeness.

Just (re)checked with a human scout. No issue, got a a beautiful ranger in my party  :P.

 

Besides she's spawned as Neutral. Therefore I suspect something in your override that might alter the factions table and/or take control of the OnSpawn event.

Unexpected hostility can be caused by making a faction hostile to you, causing them to telepathically send an instantaneous message to all their faction mates all around the multiverse. I had that problem in Path of Evil. You can check by finding another npc that should be neutral. If the faction is 100 to each other then this happens. In my case it was some people were merchant faction when they should have been neutral, so attacking them would make the defender faction (100 towards merchants) hostile.

For what it's worth, I started the module the other day with several characters (I couldn't decide on a class, neither for me or her), and she was never hostile or bugged in any way.

I emptied the over ride and the npc's (and the cat) are now friendly. It's an odd but because I have nothing in there that would affect the game play, only building.

 

None the less it's all fixed.

 

I do worry about the span of alignments I have. I've ended up with two rangers on CG and one LE, that's not going to go well. I am LN and I have a protector/ally whose CE?

 

I have played very little so far though we shall see how it goes if I get to play some more.

Perhaps a 2da that was overriding the factions tables, especially 'Neutral'. The girl and the cats are spawned as 'Neutral' (all 50). The mod never alters a whole faction.

 

As for classes choices read the presentation if you wish more information about balancing your party.Besides all companions can be multi classed so you can tweak them later on. So play the class you wish.

 

Don't worry too much about alignment, Don't forget that your official alignment is never altered (you earn points instead). So you can adapt your behavior regardless of your official alignment. If you are LN and get madly in love with a CE girl, be nice to her :wub: and sometimes be a bit chaotic ;) or evil  :ph34r:. It just makes things a bit more spicy  :rolleyes:.

PJ, are you sure you don't have a repute.fac in your override?  I ask because I remember you once packaged my Witcher demo module folder into a hak, which contained all of its module files, including repute.fac.  If you have the demo module folder in your override, it'll mess up anyone else's custom repute.fac.

Just out of curiosity, what does that repute.fac control?

 

PS: I did read the document and the bit about NPCs' classes (and have played Sarmates), but all those options just make it harder for me to make a final decision. :P I like that feature, though; it's just my OCD kicking in.

repute.fac is about how all the factions feel about each other (as well as how they regard PC-faction)

I forgot to change out my override for this session. My party just took Damascus by storm.

If you're switching out your override folder between building and playing, you might consider making a shortcut with the -home switch to make that version launch with a different set of user folders, such as an empty (or minimal) override.
