Same here, Telltale really did an amazing job getting you attached to the characters and I really did feel a strong sense of urgency as well as my choices being relevant .

In all fairness, they have some advantages.

A) Telltale games don't include playable combat (Unless you count QTEs), so its easier to engender a sense of helplessness from a physical threat standpoint.

B)  Telltale protagonists are characters, not vaguely defined variable protagonists like Bioware, that makes it easier to craft a story without trying to accommodate wide variation (Or less, anyway)

telltale and bioware games are apples and oranges. telltale games are very tight and linear and give you a similarly tightly defined protagonist. i find any comparison between the two to be very difficult to imagine, they are vastly different experiences.

Telltale Games should try getting the rights to make a Dragon Age spin-off, a game that's purely for story and choice-making. Plus, knowing how recent Telltale games have been very gory and how DAI is the "softest" entry in the series, a Telltale Dragon Age game would bring back the taste of gritty violence back into players who missed that in Origins.

Oh for the love of The Maker, Mythal, The Dread Wolf, Dumat, The Forgotten Ones, and whoever the hell else anyone wants to invoke...

If y'all miss Origins so much, just replay  the bloody thing!

*sigh* Sorry... Just had to finally say it.  Off my soapbox now.

I do, a lot. Usually with 7 different characters. It is just hard to manage this and my 3 of KOTOR2 and the others from NWN2 and other great games with testing betas of Pillars of Eternity. Sadly Inquicraptrashit isn't one of them, or should I say thankfully?

And many people (myself included) find that it comes across as forced, and that the lack of choice in the story eclipses any ''dark'' quality the story might have in itself.

Which doesn't disprove "DA2 was dark" claim. Only that it wasn't dark (anough?) for you.

It's not possible to please everyone and this thread is just another remainder.
