I've noticed many players these days in pugs rocking these bows more frequently than when I first started. I myself have gotten three griffons in past month, two pbms, two cruel redemptions, and like more last words than I can count. I find it odd that rng blesses me with these bows because they aren't even my most played class (Lego and assassin is).

I know that rng is gonna be random but I find it odd and peculiar that I have mostly common daggers and one handed swords, but have quite a few duplicates of high level bows. The Caliban has still eluded me to this day, considering I've put about 600k worth of gold into the store which I find quite frustrating but firm tournament axe does the job, same thing can be said about coiled strikes.

Then again, no Sulevin or Caliban or whatever, either.  I have a decent amount of nice jewelry, but that's about it.

I'm pretty sure the fact that PBtM and Griffon are both level 21 is what makes them the most common "top tier" items.

Top tier Staves are "very common" too because most of the good ones are not ilvl23 (dynamo, mindchill, void, pyre).

Caliban, and Sulevin Blade, both being ilvl23 are way rarer.

I doubt it, i've been playing almost every single day for 3 months straight, still haven't gotten a PBtM, and only have gotten one Griffon bow. I don't have a single one of the top staves, or daggers, and definitely not Caliban. I have gotten some nice accessories though (Superb Cooldown amulet, Superb life steal ring) but that's it

This applies to most (99%) weapons both in the single-player and multiplayer. Note that only damage/DPS varies, the other stats are always the same.

Promoted so many times and amassed tons of gold, but still never got Punched By the Maker once. And took forever just to get one Life-Drain (Heal on Kill) ring, and it wasn't even Enhanced or Superb.

 

But I'm liking the 42% Attack on the Griffon. Great bow.

I don't have these weapons but so far 1 in every 2 archer or hunter seems to be sporting the bows.  I love playing as an archer but my bow seems inadequate compared to others.

I barely got PbtM recently after about 320 prestige but I used Tenaserin for a long time; it was the first and only decent weapon I had for a long time.  Punched is still the only BiS i have at the moment.  Even sadder though, I play with a guy who is around 300 prestige and still uses a grey templar bow.

The templar bow is the best I have right now and I am around 200 prestige.  Makes me sad because the archer and hunter are my favorite classes.

I have terrible luck on unique items, i am around 400 prestige and still missinge most of top-tier items. But to tell the truth i got 4x griffon in last week....

I am over 400 prestige but got pretty damn lucky and have all the top weapons except PBTM. I didnt get a HOK ring until about 400 prestige and I still dont have a belt of health...

At prestige 275 I`ve gotten the belt of health, all top bows (all 6 - 7 of `em), both superb crit rings, superb Cunning amulet, 2 Wicked Grace (helps my OCD on dual wielding toons), all top staves (Mindchill + Void + Veil + Pyre), but that`s about it. Missing Caliban, Sulevin, top shield, ANY HoK ring, Stamina amulet and a few ability rings - notably Long Shot.

 

So, you see, some got it worse, as I can`t play my Katari properly (with the build I want, not one forced by lack of items).

You know, katari is my favorite class as well, i dont have ANY HoK ring. Just pick "to the death" and u can have full guard almost all the time. Its a big difference

Make sure you upgrade it to en garde and try not to throw it on the toughest enemy as it's hard to tank on a katari unless you're kiting for the rest of your team, throw it on an enemy with a lot of health then swing your sword around making sure to hit the dude you used the skill on when your guard starts to get low.

lol:-) but u have to be careful, ranged team-mates ll kill low health enemies before u hit them:-)))) its true, that i play katari only on threatening but dont have problem tanking treasure room or final area bosses:-)

Considering I have been playing for 3 months and have over 1.25 million gold spent, and still have yet to receive the PBTM... I would have to say no

But the way his looting system works you probably have items that I don't have like superb life drain ring or a moon axe.
