I believe the Maker exists afterall someone has to have created life in the world.
Currently there is no being we are aware of in Thedas that has the power to give life or create a living soul.
That ability is beyond any entity we know.
The Chantry is indeed correct about a few things
Not meaning to be pedantic or get into a metaphysical debate, but isn't this feat basically achieved by any Qunari, Human, Elf and Dwarf who decides to procreate, since they're essentially creating life in the form a newborn infant with a living soul?
Unless we're talking about creatio ex nihilo, of course, where you'd be right that we've not seen any particular watchmaker(s) yet?
