And you know that's also a lie, those who did not turn into Red Templars or resisted were killed, the fact that you just tried to claim that all them did hurts your argument again

Well remember who it is.

And the fact that the ENTIRE TEMPLAR ORDER was corrupted if you side with the mages just made me dislike the Templars even more. Are they seriously stupid enough to allow the entire order to become corrupt? Did nobody ever notice the side effects?

This guy sure doesn't look like he wants to become a Red Templar.

Ah, but who can say what he chose to do if you play In Hushed Whispers? Denam only launches his massacre in Champions of the Just because the Inquisition's presence raised too many questions.

Considering when you play Champions of Just Denam comments on the fact that Barris wasn't turning

This. For all we know, Barris was one of those random red templars we fought. He could have unknowingly taken red lyrium and become a red templar since the demon says the Inquisitor arriving there disrupted his plan.

Hadn't been turning at that point in time. It hardly stops him from joining up later.

Considering that apparently the entire Templar Order can enter Ferelden to Therinfal and was corrupted fast enough by the time you recruited the mages, I've learned that this game has no sense of scale.

Or he was simply killed; point being the Templar Order was subjected to red lyrium unknowingly apart from a handful of officers who killed any who resisted.

The war table mission to investigate Therinfal Redbout has this to say:

Thanks to the distraction provided by Inquisition scouts, the Chargers were able to get into Therinfal Redoubt. It's largely deserted, but there are clear signs that the templars joined a much greater force. We found a refined form of lyrium and a large number of templar corpses. Judging by their wounds, they were executed after falling ill.

We also found signs of demonic activity, although there were no rifts present. This place was home to something powerful and malevolent, and judging from the signs of violence at the Redoubt, it fled when the main force of templars left.

Lieutenant Cremisius Aclassi

Make what you will of that.

Yes, indeed. Corypheus, Samson and the envy demon are the great unsung heroes of Thedas.

Yup.  They were starting with the senior templars and working their way down through the chain of command.  THose who could most effectively rally against the red lyrium were the first targeted

Hardly the same magnitude. Mages were created by the Maker, or whatever. But templars were made by men... and then, were unmade.

We should've been able to make Barris the new Knight Vigilant since he/she was killed there too

At least they died in service to an actual being with aspirations to godhood, instead of a fantasy.

And the Templars were guided by the Maker to join the Order in the first place. Honestly, you can say the Maker planned whatever you find convenient. It's not as if he's going to say your wrong.

That was a callback to a quote from Anders in DA2. I personally don't think the Maker was involved.

Ah I still remember when they were going on some half legible rant about how Tevinter enslaving Thedas would be best for it.

Good times, good times.

About like when Lulu decried all the civilian deaths in Kirkwall as justified because the mages were oppressed.

I noticed a pattern long ago in the old pro mage camp. For a bunch of social justice warriors they sure do act like al-Qaeda in terms of response.

In layman's terms they became slaves to a nutter who suffers from delusions of grandeur.

Actually, if you listen to Morrigan the whole take the Maker's throne plan was insane and chances are Corypheus would have just ripped Thedas apart.

Oh, and the Templars worshiped him just as much as the Mages.

I mean at least there's a fifty fifty chance of the Maker actually existing.
