I have heard different things. I have heard it has to be within 30 seconds to a minute of joining a game. And that you can not fire your gun at all before you leave.
BTW I had no idea a necro would get me suspended ![]()
What are the circumstances to keeping equipment when leaving a match?

I am not sure about the timing, but I know that you must not fire your weapon.

Even that doesn't seem to work. I remember that one game where we were both in the lobby and you lost connection between the lobby and start of the game. I quit after I saw I got a Glacier/Geth combo and huntress just doesn't do geth.
I quit within ten seconds of the start, didn't fire a single shot... hell, I think I didn't even move. And when I got back to the menu, the consumables were gone.
But there are games where I play the entire match, extract and fire hell of a lot of shots but consumables are still there. So yeah, I have no idea what does it.

sometimes when u discionnected from a previous game one hour ago, U have a game where U keep them, mostly when U equip shitty ones, cause your R low on Shot amps or adre amp

That's after a host migration.

They weren't equiped, but weren't they still in your stock ? When I drop into a GIP and see that 2 players are already dead at wave 1, I usually leave immediately and, when I'm back in the menu, my consumables aren't equiped but they're still in my stock.
As for the second part in bold, you keep your consumables when there's a host migration. I have known some guys on consoles who used this little trick to play several plat games in a row using the same consumables.

The fact that the consumables are gone from the slots does not mean anything you need to check if they actually got subtracted from your inventory. Not doing an attack has proven to be very reliable for me.

Yep.
I played in 2 consecutive games where the host left and kept all equipped consumables through to the 3rd game ![]()

I know a way to keep consumables, but it requires hijacking a lobby and making it another person's lobby or your own.
To make this work, you must:
- Join a lobby
- Equip all of your consumables that you wanted to use.
- Once that's done, kick the leader out.
- Once the everyone respawns into the lobby, do not change any of your consumables(don't change gear just to be on the safe side).
- Start the match, and after the match you should still have all of your consumables. I've had leaders leave a lobby while I had consumables equipped and I never lost any of them after start a match prior to the leader leaving his lobby.

This seems to happen most reliably when Jupiter is in Sagittarius and Moon and Mercury are opposed.

You normally don't actually need to have your consumables equipped during the host migration, it still works.
As was mentioned above, some teams do this to minimize the usage of high level equipment for Plat runs. At the end of each game, the host leaves and rejoins in rotation.

Makes sense, although, it makes sense both ways, but I've always thought it fixes itself if you tamper with what's already equipped.

I'm not certain about what happens if you change equipment, but I do know that if you have nothing equipped and put it on after the host migration, it won't be used up by the game.
All this is subject to the usual vagaries of a game that will happily disconnect you with 5 seconds to extraction, or randomly decide to ignore the Cyclonic IV that you have equipped and allow a Cannibal to one-shot you instead.
