Two questions

 

1# I'm going to respec my skills. Some feats I will take again and others not so much. When I was doing the main quest, and while I was finding a way out or back? I ran into some baddys and automatically gained the mark of the rift ability. However it overlapped my stealth which I had in the first slot. So when I respec will the mark of the rift automatically go into slot #1 if I leave it empty? Or will I not even get it back?

 

2# I have finally gotten major controll of my character again, and I travelled back to the Hinterlands. I have a lot of quest yet to do, and reinforcements to make. Not to mention some extra levels. Can I leave the main quest for the moment with no penalty and will it be detrimental to the storyline? If I recall it never was an issue. Btw: I have many saves thanks to Dragon Age Keep) if It is more beneficial to go back before In Your Heart Shall Burn. Which started the epic cut scene in the first place.

You can go into your character record and configure which skills go into the slots you want, it's not like it's LOCKED IN to slot 1 forever. And although not proceeding with the main story until later is fine and dandy I suggest getting back to it eventually. The hinterlands is not the whole game, and most of the game opens up AFTER you proceed in the main storyline

Go into your skill tree and just re map your skill. When you go over any skill it will ask if you want to map it. Hit the button it tell you and they you can map it to the corresponding button you want.
