I've had a hard couple of months avoiding spoilers but tomorrow I am finally getting a PS4 and I got the game from my girlfriend yesterday. Very unexpected. I am crazy right now, I will be unable to sleep tonight. I've been waiting SO LONG.
Just needed to say it and wondering if anyone else waited as long as me! And for those who still haven't got to play the game yet I say "I REEEEAAAALLY know what you're going through"
I'll be playing it tomorrow, I've been playing since day one as well though. Currently doing a dwarf run through, although I never finished my qunari mage. I took a month break, and forgot what my plans were for her, so i lost interest in her.
If you're playing on a PS4, then maybe you'll like the experience. Depends upon what your expectations were/are. If you were a PC gamer? Then I'd say skip the entire ordeal. Good luck.
My advice is to avoid the forums, even the no spoilers forum. People can get careless (I had the ending quasi-spoiled for me because somebody blabbed it and then someone highlighted it...here in the NON SPOILER section. I also had the plot of a companion quest spoiled...again, in the NON SPOILER section).

Yeah, I find KBM far, far superior to a controller.

I can beat that...with 367 hours . I'm waiting now for Patch 5 to roll out before i continue.....praying it won't break anything

PC player here, I am planning on another playthrough but with the announcement of Patch 5 I'm going to wait to try out the new content that is being included.
I'll be waiting for the Black Emporium update aswell before starting a new character.
I'm just waiting for the party banter to be fixed.

I'm in the exact same boat, OP! Spent the last 3 months saving for a pc that can run DAI. On Wednesday, I get the final part, the video card. Then I'll finally begin my adventure.
I know the game has issues on my chosen platform; I'm getting an AMD card, and keeping my fingers crossed. (If we had an ETA on the Black Emporium patch, I'd probably wait for that, but it seems like it's several weeks away at least, and these last few months have been hard enough...) Congrats on managing to avoid spoilers--I did fine until I came to see how the patches were doing and ran into a huge Solas spoiler here in the no spoilers section.

Go play the game then come back here after you finished and see what you can do differently in a second play through., Game works pretty good on ps4 3 I've had minimal issues in 3 playthroughs.

Yes, haven't had a chance yet, either - waiting until I have a bit more free time and can upgrade to a new PC. 
I've just seen this thread and I chuckled because I thought...I am not alone!
I preordered this game and played it on release. I currently have 336 hours in this game but have not played it since before Christmas. I played "Adam Ant Four Dress" (see what I did? 
) for the first time and thought "wow that was amazing but I so want to do it with a different char". I'm sure I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said that around 250 hours of that total was playing different races/class combinations upto Sky Hold. In the end I got the look, class, race and everything I wanted all set even the char settings I wanted for body/face/ etc, but I was so emotionally drained of that first (awesome) chapter of the game that I could not give it another go.
I'm currently re-installing it after around 6 weeks off it and I can't wait for my first full play through. As you can see from my post count I've avoided these forums like the plague and I don't know how it all ends but I have a week off work starting tomorrow and I can't wait to get into this finally.
So, for everyone out there whose having a belated exploration of Thedas, I wish you much enjoyment!
