Tried again, and I'm going to have to abandon it. Maybe I just haven't got the hang of the placement, but it seems more difficult to pull off consistently in a full team. Probably down to the fact that the baddies react to your teammates.

In order to get the high damage numbers you need knife in the shadows which guarntees a crit every time you break stealth. Given your lvl it sounds like you might not have unlocked some of the more vital passives just yet. Bit of a silly question but ar you using Stealth all the time and do you have the second rank of stealth unlocked?

I try to stealth as much as possible and yes, I have the upgrade to both evade (obviously) and stealth. I'll try tomorrow to follow your build exactly. I have purple dexterity amulet (+10) and purple critical chance and HOK rings. I don't have a lot of promotions though, less than 10 in cunning (7 or 8 iirc) and about 10 in willpower. Belt is probably not important and I think I have spirit resistance or maybe stagger 10%.

There is something going on there, I also noticed that. It seems that you actually have to evade if they target you and if they target somebody else, its does not work reliably. Sometimes still works though. It all makes sense as it is your ghost and not something else they should be trying to hit.

Its cause your a noob. The team placement can be a factor though and as we already know the hit detection in this game is iffy at the best of times so trying to hit a moving enemy can be a pain.

Promotions shouldnt really be a factor, I have promoted very little myself

Nah, it's cos your build sucks. I've still got the two points in Evade, and I'm not missing any game breaking passives, so I'll keep trying it out to see if anything improves.

 

I did have a game with an AW, and POTA helps out a great deal.

Thats it - we can settle this in the thunderdome! No one insults my builds!

So true about pull of the abyss, This AW was spamming it with the hopes of using fade cloack on the bunched up enemies but I kept running in before him and stealing his kills. It was glorious

Reading your hunter build caused me to try out an alchemist build using evade and to my surprise, I absolutely love evade. I'm running evade, flank attack, toxic cloud, poison weapons.

I flank attack into the middle of mobs, drop the toxic cloud and then evade roll around applying poison with my basic attacks, letting the dot of the poison do work.

I'm going to try your hunter build next.

I still havent found an alchemist build that I like. I originally went with a knockout bomb + Toxic cloud build, currently using a more assassin oriented build but im not enjoying it much. I really want to know if flask of frost also applies to your after image for example if an enemy strikes your after image and you have Flask of frost active, will it freeze them?
