At the suggestion of an article in techradar.pro, I downloaded and installed Game Booster from http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.php. It temporarily cleans your system of unneeded processes that can slow you down. I have tried to keep bloatware to a minimum on my gaming rig, but after it closed 19 processes (in a few seconds), my FPS jumped from 25 to 56 and my Min FPS from 20 to 46. It restores the system after you close the game. It's free, btw.
