I used the Cheat Engine to remove the pointlessly crappy belt that Hero of Ferelden gave my Inquisitor and added something like Superb Cooldown Amulet or Superior Potions Belt or Superior Belt of Focus....
Makes that mission much more worthwhile...

Ironically you just proved their point. If you actually just stick to the story and do side quests as they are convenient. 1 story + 1 hour of side quests then you would still have a ton of missions left over that you still have to do. I was stuck time and time again waiting for missions to finish before moving on to the next part because I undoubtedly had several even though I did do more side quests than the average player. You literally have to spend your time farming and chaining missions to be done before the next story mission comes up. Which proves the whole point they are there just to inflate gaming time. They aren't fun, they don't offer much, and their rewards are often shitty. This game lacks good story and side quest. I'm tired of games being lazy and throwing in farming as a way to make the game seem like it has more than it really does. I miss games that took forever to complete.
uh no.....to open new missions/areas you only need influence and you get those pretty easily, also people seem to forget the war table missions are OPTIONABLE, you dont need to do all of them, well except those who open more areas.

Most of the War Table 'Rewards' are just ridiculous and completely stupid, as to defy any real logic for even bothering with them. For one mission, I got 41 Gold... I already have 13000+, but hey, that 41 gold was invaluable to me completeing the game... NOT! Seriously, why even bother. War Table is an Epic Failure. The resources could have been better spent elsewhere, the WT is an utter waste of time.
It fits perfectly with my Warden who was a hoarder and cheapskate.
"I don't care if I'm overcumbered and I have no use for all these garnets. I am not leaving until we have looted everything.
And I don't care if I have good equipment I am not using. I intend to carry it through to Awakening and no, you can't have it."

Um that had NOTHING to do with what I said. Try to stay on topic little one. 90% of this game is optional doesn't mean **** shouldn't flow better and actually make sense. I shouldn't have to farm and grind just to finish war table missions before the next story mission. That's lazy development and poor gaming. So keep on proving my point even further. sigh I really wish people would come up with actual arguments instead of parroting bullshit excuses.

lol this was me when I was playing skyrim. I was always encumbered trying to carry everything. I would walk through the rest of the stupid dungeon just to grab everything so I could sell it or store it. I'm such a hoarder in games.
Change your time and date settings and set the clock forward and then save it. Go back into game; 15h over in 15 seconds.

You don't know this, but that was the belt the Warden wore while killing the Archdemon. That thing is priceless!
My Inquisitor sold it for like, 238 gold.
That's Andruil's belt! My Dalish elf Inkly claims that as cultural property of our collective clans!
Shoulda used the time exploit lol.
how ?
You have to be on PC and have to have a particular item in your inventory. Then increase its amount by one.
This is just simply AWESOME. Two thumbs up! "I found this piece of crap belt," may be the best line ever posted on the BSN.
You do not adress the Hero of Ferelden unles s/he has addressed you.
"Dear Inquisitor:
Sadly I cannot be at your side to help saving the world once more, but I'm sending my faithful Mabari warhound, tasked with the mission of becoming your personal guardian"
One can dream, right?
Or:
Dear inquisitor,
I'm busy with my own quests but have this litter of Mabari puppies courtesy of my steadfast but hopelessly randy canine companion's latest conquest.
You of course get a cutscene when the wartable mission is finished involving a courier with a basket of Mabari puppies
and then and then they follow you around Skyhold and are cute. ![]()
I understand the problem of having the HoF around, but I was happy to finally receive this war table mission and then loved the letter but was underwhelmed. Still, I like to think she's out there and can find some solution so she can get back to the Ferelden throne and celebrate by taking Alistair to bed all day and winding up with heirs.
A girl can dream. Also.....Alistair. ![]()
I shall work on creating the t-shirts then!
Where do I order mine? ![]()

Thought I had made it perfectly clear that I know how to do this, and deliberately chose not to go this route.
My frustration was not over the 15 hours, it was over the paltry reward for having invested them.
I do use certain cheats when they fall within my personal definition of "should have been part of the vanilla game."
So for example I run with an inventory capacity of 180 from the moment I arrive at Skyhold.
Reason? "A party storage chest should have been included." (And according to the tweet, will be in the next patch!)
And swapping out those hideous pj's for something more appropriate for the Quizzy to wear around the Keep is a no-brainer. ![]()
Oh really?

Oh really?
I do like the idea of the Hero of Ferelden and the Inquisitor as a pair of sulky teenagers sending each other stroppy notes. Maybe I'm showing my age. Stroppy Facebook updates?
I think I'm going to put this on a T-shirt
Table missions like this are exactly the reason why I just set my system clock ahead. I am not gonna wait 15 real world hours for a bunch of BS. Just about everything you get from table missions are inferior to loot drops and items you can craft yourself. The letter from the HoF was just a slap in the face on top of everything else. I'd love to go back and play my warden again, wish BW would just make it happen.
The timing works out well if you're playing a normal amount each day. If you're marathoning the game, yeah, that clock will articificially inflate play time without system clock shenanigans. But if you are someone who just plays 2 or a few hours most days, those long missions run overnight. I found that I ran out of war table missions at roughly the same point that I reached the last couple of story missions.
I hate the timers that run in real life, IMO they have no place in a game such as this.
Microtransaction games with time-walls, fine - but a single-player game with a timer that runs in real life while I've shut off my computer? No. Freaking. Way. ![]()
I know that if I were still in control of my Hero of Ferelden I wouldn't have sent my best **** to the Inquisitor.
I did often have a lot of random crap to sell though, so maybe the HoF could have sent a bulk delivery of grey quality crap? Anything else would be wrong based on all of my Inquisitor's gameplay - err, looting habits.
