Hi everyone. This topic is a continuation of my journey through the trilogy playing as the laziest Shepard ever on insanity difficulty. In case anyone is interested here is the link to that topic from the ME1 boards: http://forum.bioware...gy-playthrough/
So to recap - I finished ME1 on insanity completing only the main missions. No sidequests were done, including those that can be done during main missions. I only allowed myself to shop when it was not too out of the way. I finished at level 33 and imported a level 2 Shepard into ME2. I played as an infiltrator and took neural shock as my bonus power.
Here are the rules for this playthrough for ME2:
Not recruiting Samara, Thane and Tali.
No loyalty missions done.
No exploring.
No shopping unless it's along the way.
No ship upgrades.
No planet scanning.
Shepard survives suicide mission.
This sets up several interesting conditions. Upgrades will be limited to those found on the main missions, the first four recruitment missions and Omega shops. The Citadel shops will be ignored because I'm only there to recruit Kasumi. Ilium and Tuchanka will be totally missed because they are skippable. Many weapons cannot be obtained. Shepard will be level 15 by the end of the game. Squadmate selection for the suicide mission will be fixed to allow Shepard to survive to ME3.
These are the choices that need to be made during the suicide mission:
Jack, Kasumi and Garrus will be killed due to lack of ship upgrades.
Send Mordin to die in vents.
No escort for the crew.
Miranda leads second fireteam and survives.
Jacob will hold the bubble. Bring Legion and Grunt; Legion dies.
Bring Miranda and Jacob to final boss; both will die.
Grunt and Zaeed will hold the line; they will both survive and allow Shepard to live in the end.
Firewalker missions and short assignments will be used to force story progression from Horizon to the Collector ship, and from the reaper IFF mission to the crew abduction.
Now I am doing the pre-Horizon recruitment missions, which are not too different from a normal playthrough. I do need some input on some things though:
1. How to build my Shepard? Remember that I will only be at level 15 by the end of the game.
2. What advanced weapon training should I take?
Normally I will go for the Widow with an infiltrator, but with the lack of sniper upgrades and skill points to put into ammo powers, cloak and passive, the OSOK principles might not be achievable in this playthrough. I was thinking of taking the assault rifle, so that I can have the mantis + vindicator + shuriken combo for the rest of the game.
