Hey there fellow xbone user! Just thought I'd mention that if you want to take a screenshot of your inquisitor, you can get some nice screenshots with a little bit of work. Just get your xbox to take a game clip and then go onto your xbox account on your computer. From there go to your game clips and then take a screenshot on your computer.

I tried this.

I recorded some clips of conversations and saved them in the Upload app, but they won't show up on my profile on xbox.com. It has my old Forza Horizon 2 clips, but none of the clips I recorded for any other games.

The only thing the CC fails massively with is eyebrows.

Here's my most recent creation - only thing modded is the eyebrows. This is a facial "self insert," and even the modded eyebrows aren't 100%, but they're good enough:

I couldn't agree more. Every female in game (Leli, Cass, Viv, Josie) has beautiful eyebrows, yet a female Inquisitor is stuck with man eyebrows or looks to be afflicted with Trichotillomania - they are so sparse. Quite odd on some level - BioWare is certainly known for putting a ton of effort into their female protagonists, only to fail at something so basic like hair/eyebrows.

Anyway, very happy the mods are coming. Did you find yours on Nexus?

You can get them off Shantia's Tumblr:

Shantia's eyebrows always look sooo good. I'm waiting until we finally get the Black Emporium and the mirror before I use them, so I just drool over other people's use of them right now.

I character hop soo much, that I'd have to uninstall and reinstall constantly. Otherwise all my characters that have already been created would look crazy, with wrong eyebrows. Once we get the mirror, I can install it and then change everyone's eyebrows once and for all! Although I do kind of wish we could pick and choose which eyebrows get replaced. Some of the existing eyebrows I'm okay with. But I won't look a gift horse in the mouth :D

I ended up dropping a couple characters I was mid-way through because I hated the vanilla eyebrows that much.

People complain about the hair, but honestly the hair isn't that bad. The brows are just horrible - I have no idea what Bioware was thinking.

The hairs just never bothered me that much because I typically try to go for "immersion," and when playing warrior-women, hair is either cropped short for practicality or bound to keep it out of the way.

Just to clarify, that bad joke I got for an answer to what's considered too much makeup wasn't helpful.

If anyone's in the mood to offer an opinion on the subject, I'd appreciate it.

Honestly, what a person considers "too much makeup" is going to be very subjective. Everyone is going to have a different opinion. I can appreciate characters with heavy makeup and characters with next to no makeup. It just depends on the character and their personality. For my own female Trevelyan, it makes sense for her character to not bother with makeup. It's just the type of person I RP her to be. But then I also have a female Adaar who loves a swipe of dramatic red lipstick that stands out wonderfully against her grey skin. So really it's all up to the player and their characters to decide what is too much makeup.

I don't think there's a problem with using a lot of makeup, even with the intensity jacked up. As long as it makes sense for that character. I mean, Leliana still looks tasteful, and she's got some serious yellow eye shadow representing.

For me, personally, I think there is such a thing as too much going on - like, if you had a huge facial tattoo, crazy-colored eyes, bright lips, and...a bunch of scars, that would probably be a bit much. It would be hard to know where to look. :D

I think you can get away with just about anything, as long as you aren't afraid to edit, and it suits the character's face/coloring. And if others don't like it, who cares? It's a single player game, and the only person that needs to be happy with the character is you.

True, it's subjective.

And well, this kind of look works great for Morrigan.

Personally, I always go for natural tones on my females . Blush MUST be subtle and eye liner kept in a neutral or black tone. I want to accentuate the eyes, not take away.

In general, the make up highlights the features. It never takes awayfrom them.

Indeed, Morrigan wouldn't be Morrigan without her signature look. :)

How about eyeshadow?

How about eyeshadow?

In my opinion eye shadow should be about your eye color OR something that's a statement about your outfit. For example, maybe you have a piece of jewelry that you wanna showcase, then, you use an appropriate color eye shadow. Like how morrigan uses her subtle purple eye shadow that really brings together her outfit.

Or, say you have a grey or dark brown eye color. Maybe you'd wanna use an eye shadow color to make your eyes pop. Likewise, if you have bright blue eyes or any bright colored eye, you might want to go for more neutral tones so as to not over due it and end up looking tacky.

Ha ha, now I'm going into some weird kind of make-up theory. xD

@ Qun00: The OP disapproves of make-up that lets female Quizzies look like wh**res but as others have pointed out, this is very subjective. If you only apply very subtle eye shadow and turn the intensity down, I don't think that it would be too much (in terms of the rules of this thread, otherwise it really doesn't matter at all in my opnion). Maybe you can ask yourself if your character would really wear this kind of make-up in a medieval world. I used a bit too mush eyeliner on my first character. For my second one I didn't use any eyeliner at all, just a bit of blush. Personally, I prefere the latter.

I try to follow the "general" rules for makeup in real life. If you want to accent eyes, go easy on lips and vice versa. I always use almost next to no blush because anything above the first couple settings ends up looking like clown cheeks.

But rules are made to be broken. My "Snow White" character has blood-red lips and pretty heavy eye shadow - because she looks like Snow White, if she were a warrior. My other characters tend to have more natural lips with just heavy eye-shadow.

As far as shadow color goes, you usually want to stay away from matching the actual iris color and pick something opposite on the color wheel. Brown eyes look great with a nice dark purple, blue, or just black.
