What's wrong with the DA:I review?
He touted the game first and foremost as a bicurious bangfest. If I wanted that, I'd go to the DA:I forum. I wanted to see what the game was about, not more painstaking overemphasis on cheesy romances.

Ah, lol
Them romances are serious business.
I never really saw the point in watching other people play a video game. Like the people on twitch. Who don't play the game themsevles watch other people play it. South Park did a skit on it called re-hasing. When gamers pretty much play the game while talking on the mic. I don't get how those people have millons of followers. Couldn't you play the game yourself. Don't you trust your own judgement.

There's a value of entertainment in the lets play, and people watch them for many reasons. Personally, I lean towards playthroughs where the person has played a game I played. Just to see their reactions to certain moments or see if they struggled with something in the same way I did. I mean, how can you not watch this?
Part 3. Start of the salt.
I guess people watch it to listen to the other reactions of other people. I had a channel at one point. Then It dawned on me. I wasn't having fun. I was more concerned with getting subs, spending my time uploading videos. Rather then actually enjoying them. I suppose to each their own. The above video. He is interesting. I wouldn't watch an entire playthrough when I can play the game myself.
Excluding any official game dev channels...

Also Sirlionhart. For that video above me.
As for LPs, I think some people can make an otherwise dull game lively through commentary, if they're pleasant, anyway.

You guys should check out EWNetwork. Etika's pretty hype
Digital Foundry's frame time testing and benchmark videos are pretty much one of a kind. Eurogamer isn't a perfect publication, but I would be very disappointed if they were ever put in a position to close down Digital Foundry.
Other gaming youtubes I watch include TotalBiscuit, BroTeamPill, Ohmwrecker, MattChat and WorldOfLongplays for excellent runs of games obscure and mainstream without the commentary.
That's a noob move spelling his name with a "th"
Looks like i need a manuel.
Anyway, why do you not have a real Jack Frost avatar?
