Add more hairstyles (specially for females)

Seriously, theres like only 3-4 options to create a female character that doesnt look like a ****** or a MtoF transgender! If you cannot bother creating new hairstyles, why can't you simply import the ones from DAII?

Its embarrassing that this is what we got.. Not even differentiating male, and female hair-styles!? Half of which are bald.. The actual "hair" models look so bad, ive opted to play my charcters all without hair, or a shaved head.. Not a single one, look liek someone would actually wear it..
the beards suffer from the same exact problem that has been in all 3 DA games.. The chin strap beard sits inches off the jaw, so theyre floating away from the face.. Its worse than a bad santa beard-wig!
And the colors.. Wow, the colors! The darks look too cartoony, and the light colors are SO bright, that it almost looks like theyre glowing.. Terrible!
And while im at it... Why.. In 2015... Is there no ability to change the body style? The elves look like they have no arms.. The females all look like bowling pins.. And.. ugh.. I dont have the energy to continue.. Just bad... So much laziness in developing this game.. So many corners cut!

Considering how many hairstyles there were in DAII, the number in DAI (and the fact that they're shared between genders) is nothing short of lazy!

The simple answer is the two games use two different rendering engines.

Or at least tone down the broad sideburns for the two styles that are kinda normal for women.

I don't understand...why so many side burns? male players (or female) love so much having their male characters balding? ![]()
Is just...not every male I know have receding hairline. Why so many? expecially since the hair are shared between male and female characters. I cringe every time I find a female NPC with sideburns. Is creepy.

More hair styles for everyone!
Just three or four styles which at least hide your female character's scalp would do it for me
Even better: Shoulder length+.
Hair rendering can be.... hm... somewhat complex. If you are interested in the difficulties, read here:

Complex or not why Bioware which job is to make good cc. Fail at one most important part of character hair. When moders do it better for free. We don't want 15 variations off bald as hair we want hair.

And where is this?

No one is asking that level of accuracy.
just some decent hair models, that doesn't need to move, require as much work (or maybe less) than creating an elm. Some braided styles like Josephine's, or short but without male baldness like Cassandra's would do.
And Morrigan's and Sera's hair already move.
I think most of us would be already happy with DA2's choices with updated (not that there is much work to do) textures.

I love that sexes share hairstyles. Usually there is lack of good long hairstyles for male characters and good short one's for female characters. I hate the idea of gendered hairstyles.
Some of the hairstyles however are unnecessary for both sexes like 8 different butch options. So Bioware could improve options for everyone. Especially for qunaris.
Also, I haven't heard before that there is special hairstyles that transwomen use, I though they have similar hairstyles that all women have, which doesn't tell much taking accord how different women are in their hairstyles.

DAI is my first time I see a biologically female character having balding male patches. But I don't think transwoman would roleplay their character with such male baldness. Still, is quite unsetting.
I'm fine too with the shared hairstyles, since I like too having males with long hair and female characters with short styles.
Problem is, the hair are mostly male oriented. Not talking about the cut, but the very hight hairline, and the balding sides. If only few hairstyles presented male baldness, I would be the first to not complain about it and be happy. But there are too many of them, and too few more feminine or simply cute hairstyles. Unisex for BioWare seem to be "male hair put on female" and is not right.
I love how made it Dragon's Dogma. All hairstyles shared for male and female character, but with all the different kind of styles: from very feminine, to very masculine. So I could make my big viking with beard and braids, or a female with a mohawke.

Hey, look! *Another* thread asking for more and better hair options! I'm starting to think this might just be a big issue for players!!
That hairstyle are shared between male and female characters is great. The issue is the the hair we get is just really really bad, in both terms of quantity and quality and sharing them between male and female characters is NOT an excuse for this fact.

Dragons Dogma, is one of the better rpgs ive played, from the ground up! Especially when you added BBI... Too bad only 1 per account tho.. Capcom greed!
@Sartoz: players have been making home-mod hair for years.. Its not as complex as you seem to think it is.. Morrowind-Skyrim, DA:O-2, and any rpg in the last 5-10 years really.. This, with no resources... bioware have top of the line resource, and developers on hand! They made the same terrible hair for 3 games straight...Beards do not even tough the jaw line.. Its embarrasing... Theyre selling a product.. Least they could do, is polish it.. (not attacking you, hopefully its not coming off as one)
@OP: and no, not "especially females".. Males have a buzzcut, and thats it.. 8 different shaved heads, the 4 best of which, are African American hair..They look amazing if im playing a Black character(the last 4, furthest to the right slider), but if im p[laying a pale white elf, id like long flowqing, golden locks, without going so far as to be "female" or "homosexual/feminine"... Especially for the time period.. Men had Hair.. A buzzcut simply doesnt feel right for the time.. I prefer a shaved head.. Im a Bic bald dude, with a beard.. But it doesant fit this period..

Why so many? Frosbite was made more for pew pew games, and not RPG's.

I must agree though the qunari males though need either separate hair/horns or each horn style with each set of hair. I tried making a qunari twice now and both times deleted him shortly after I sorta like the horns but the hair with it just wasn't appealing.
I've made one dwarf, and even though they are my preferred race in any game I play, this one I cannot play, the lower half of the model looks like an elf, but again too hair/beards are a big reason for this as well.
Humans are the only race I've played so far, and they have all been bald, cept one I think but yeah, the hair is that bad, even for me who usually puts function over appearance.

Snip-
Its just a cartoon.. Ill never understand the interest in "sexy" cartoon babes.. Or the claim that "If im gonna stare at an A... Hiney... Its gonna be a chick!"... I cant take my character seriously, if her warhammer weighs twice as much as she!
