Am I the Only One...

To me, this is how it ends. Chilling on the Strip, meeting up with some squadmates just to hang out. Getting together and hitting up The Armax Arena for old times sake. Eventally, getting everyone together for a big shindig. Finally, having a solemn send-off before going in a new adventure.
This defines to me what is great about this series. The characters we've come to know over three games and how they all mesh, with Shepard and each other.

I agree with you. I like the happy ending and the Citadel DLC is perfect for that. You have a party, you enjoy yourself with your friends and LI. What could possibly happen? Yes, that is the perfect ending and I don't understand who says that they hate this kind of DLC.

I think it would have been better if the Citadel DLC took place after the Reaper war. Time to kickback and relax.
You should maybe try out this mod then:
http://www.nexusmods...ffect3/mods/2/?
It changes a small bit of dialogue, music and such, resulting in the Citadel DLC to play exactly like that, a victory party, and it works pretty damn good.

Oh I do every little damn thing before doing Citadel, because Citadel is the cherry on top.

Nope. I also play the entire game then to the restore point and play the Citadel as the ending. Not too hard to headcanon, just missing the 30 minute cutscene of destroying Reapers everywhere all while giving the starbrat the finger.

I always do everything in all my playthroughs. Citadel DLC always come either after Rannoch or after Leviathan(part 1-2). I keep the party for right before Cerberus HQ.

Nah, I get bored of the party. Sometimes, I skip it.

I do the Citadel DLC after the Coup (of course) but before the Rannoch arc. Although I usually grab Tali first and then do it. (The more the merrier. Right?).
I look at it as the mission says "Shore Leave"for the team and crew. I do the main mission and put down the pretender, then mess about in the Arena and the Strip.
As to the Party, I used to do it before Chronos Station, but now I skip it a lot. Depending on my mood at the time.

You know that little group pic at the end? That's my REAL ending to ME3.
Being thrown back to the war after that was like a bucket of ice water.

I've only just finished ME3 and have downloaded the Citadel DLC straight away and played it then. I love it, and for my next playthrough I will definitely do this as the last mission before Cronos. A last chance to be happy with your crew.

I enjoy the game in total, so I take my time. I don't skip any missions or rush through anything just to get it over with. In any case, I always start the DLC right after Rannoch, but I only do the identity theft mission. Once the story is resolved, I might do a few things on the strip, but then I get on with the story and save the rest of the DLC for my lie-to-myself headcanon epilogue special. I usually do Leviathan after Thessia.

It's usually where my playthroughs end and I do generally enjoy it more than the vanilla game. I suppose I do blow through the game to start the mission as well. The only missions I do are ones that recruit party guests.

I look forward to it but I try not race my way through the games. Playing the citadel dlc is kind of bittersweet for me. It is alot of fun and good for alot of laughs but it is also a reminder to me that I am nearing the end of my trilogy playthrough.

I don't, OP.
I blaze through in order to get to:
-Rannoch arc
-Leviathan final convo
-Sanctuary is cool too
Basically I like anything that gives off that cold robotic/amoral/lore-y feeling. The first half of the game mostly doesn't have enough of that, and nether does Omega DLC. Getting into Geth/Husk/Reaper-lore content is lovely.
Citadel DLC is just a crazy thing I do, that I try to enjoy every minute of. But I don't rush towards it.

I like the DLC but I don't rush to get there. What comes to ending I still prefer red ending with the breathing scene over Citaldel DLC because I don't like too happy endings where everybody are friends with you forever. It's just too much for me.

Citadel DLC didn't work out well with me at all. It had far too much self referential stuff for me, I found the clone storyline felt more relevant to ME2 than ME3 and the humor grew very stale, very quickly. A total waste of resources that served only as a piece of fan service exploitation, imo. It might not have had such a drastic effect on me if I hadn't already been so disappointed with the ME3 s/p campaign, but it served only to reinforce my negative opinions of Bioware more than anything.

No because the citadel was the cheese i needed then, but not the cheese i deserved.
I don't own the DLC now because i switched platforms and in some ways its better for it. I enjoyed the citadel - somewhere in the 7 stages of grief for the death of Mass Effect. Three years later however,i think, when i play ME3 it detracts from the desperation and struggle of the characters too much. Overall it didn't really make up for the fact that most of the DLCs either should have been in main game anyway or shouldn't have been in the game at all.

My least favourite DLC to be honest, but I can understand that other people like it. It's just that it focused too much on the things I didn`t care much for. The Armax Arena was cool though.

Nah, I skip it these days, the humour has gotten old and I really don't like seeing so many characters acting out of character. Citadel is really out of place in ME3.

I do EVERYTHING before I do Citadel.
All the War Assets, readiness percentage, side quests, everything before the raid on the Illusive Man's base.
I do Citadel, then Cerberus base, then final battle. Always in that order.
