I saw a gamespot article yesterday, it was saying that the next ME might have a multiplayer, after reading it I was very surprised of seeing so much hate for the multiplayer in the comments, especially considering that I got way more value out of the MP than the singleplayer... How can they hate something so beautiful !  > :(

If you judge the quality of anything based on what the people posting in internet comment sections have to say about them, then I don't think it's possible to even enjoy life.

except that isn't true either. You can get enough EMS for every single ending without touching Multiplayer or DLC. You just have to do more fetch quests, and can't kill off actors who you don't like despite their usefulness and still expect to get the good endings (what? negative consequences in an RPG for bad choices? BS!!!)

I actually like the freedom that MP tying into war assets offers. I can shoot some monsters and engage in all the meat of the story that is actually relevant, getting a good outcome without being forced to explore the bumfuc nebula to pick up the million macguffins of boring or whatever that give me 50 war assets each.

No, you can't. You have to have the Extended Cut DLC at a minimum. The Extended Cut lowers the threshold for the 'breath' scene at the end of high EMS destroy from 5300 (unreachable without multiplayer or other DLC even if you do everything and follow the guides to max out your war assets through story decisions) to 4100.

I was very apprehensive about the MP when it was first announced.  After playing it, I enjoyed it.  I've put an insane amount of hours into it.  Haven't really played it since last fall.  I've been mainly on the PS4 and Xbox One lately.  However, I might bust out the 360 for some ME3 MP again.  Hmmmmmmmm.

[...] IMO it is ignorant, antisocial neckbeards who hate everything social, who are equating everything that has multiplayer with FPS culture and froth at the mouth even though they don't even have to play it or associate with anyone who does.

As an ignorant antisocial neckbeard who hates everything social (and also large groups of people, smaller groups of persons or persons, ....), I find this offensive!

I enjoy ME3MP very much -you know, while doing the 'not associating' thing ^_^

I personally don't, I love the ME3 MP and the only reason I would buy ME4 full price would another multiplayer like that but better in some ways, I was just surprised  that in the comments of that thing, there was no support whatsoever for the MP, all of those comments were hate for multiplayer in games known for single player campaign.

Can you imagine if the SP was as good as the MP?  My God, what a game it would have been!

I don't know about all of you, but I played the crap out of ME1 & ME2, thinking each permutation would offer a fresh ending which would justify all the different paths I chose throughout.

I played ME3 SP just once.  :(

Thank goodness for the MP, huh?  I can honestly say that still love it, even though I don't really play anymore.  I'd say that, for a single gametype, PVE game, it was wildly successful and well worth the time and money.  It was an experience as pleasurable and addictive as the other SPs were to me.

Except for Geth.

You are using the term 'people' rather liberally.

I was pretty popular at Afterlife and Purgatory, too.

Anyone who hates this multiplayer shouldn't be allowed to play video games with other people, ever.  If you don't like this MP I don't know what MP you would like.

If you have the pelvic fortitude for it though, it can be quite the enjoyable experience.

Yeah because it is. This isn't really the forum for that discussion though.

I'm gonna admit, I'm not that impressed by the MP. I never really got addicted to it like many players have, I recently played because I went to collect the 100% readiness achievement and finish all of ME3's achievements, and it was fun, but nothing that special for me.

It's good that the majority of the community is still supporting it, that tells the MP was a good move by Bioware.

http://forum.bioware...ve-multiplayer/

Here's a thread in the SP forums about the same thing, but with the opposite bent in the OP.

To answer your question, IMO it is ignorant, antisocial neckbeards who hate everything social, who are equating everything that has multiplayer with FPS culture and froth at the mouth even though they don't even have to play it or associate with anyone who does. This despite the fact that ME3MP is not a competitive game at all.

You will notice that most of the arguments about MP "taking resources from Singleplayer" and whatnot are debunked specifically by  the seperate teams that worked on both ME3MP and DAMP, but the same anti MP posters persist in their arguments. I suppose they are following the old adage "a lie told often enough becomes the truth".

Nice. Time to head over there for some trolling. No MP? Lol.
