So, ive done almost all possible war table missions between my two playthrough.. EVery one available to me anyway.. And apart from a decent staff,  or influence, the so-called "rewards"... A little sculpture of maltheas, worth 32 gold? So many of the "rewards" are literal garbage.. I just got a trash sculpture from a site of one of Andrastes' original disciples... It hadnt been visited in over 1000yrs.. He fled therew from attack, expecting reinforcement, and no one in that 1000yrs has seen the inside of it.. All i get, is a 32g statue?!??! What, the #$@@#$@#$!@#$@$@#$@#!$?!?

Influence alone is kindve a crappy reward, but is atleast, a form of "experience"... To be given actual trash, as a reward is very disheartening! And it happens the 2nd most of all.. Mostly you get Influence, secondly you get these stupid little sculptures, or figuringes.. I think 2, maybe 3 times, i was given an actual reward, and im counting the dumb little 50hp amulet of life, staff of theydas, and a sword for Adaar... But man.. The trash. the TRAAASH!

The rewards are dependent upon who you send out in some cases.   A full list is here: http://segmentnext.c...-how-to-unlock/

Don't even get me started on the horrible RNG in this game for other quests...

It's things like this (among many others) that leave the distinct impression the developers didn't have someone with a keen bird's eye view of the wider game to direct them. Those sculptures might have seemed like a fine reward to whomever assigned war table rewards. Pity no one told him they weren’t worth anything.

Right hand, meet left hand. The two of you must have a lot to talk about.

Rizilliant for these obvious plot issues, maybe that one is "Touched in the head", but dead on again.   Aside from the many technical issues with developing this game system coupled with the plot inconsistencies and missing, incomplete and often incorrect items there seemed to be no central point with the big picture i.e. where were good program management practices, where was Quality Assurance?  So we hear they fell behind schedule again and again management failed to see the depth of the issues and effectively release a game in its alpha state.  Obviously the game development system's automated "Big picture" tracking aspect was also incomplete and unable to perform the magnitude of left and right hand coordination properly.  Riz more attention here would have identified your issues-back to planning again.  In any event, many of us touted that some form of QA beta testing was necessary to fix many of these issues and EA/Bioware seem to be on board with that concept -we'll see.  Who knows by the time DA4 nad ME4 hit the street, DAI may consistently work properly. :)

See, i could accept that, if i didnt pay close attention.. Im the person who DOES enjoy reading texts, codex entries, notes, journals, etc.. Im sure to send the "right" person out on mission.. Im on a 2nd play now, and am sending different ones (when i can directly recall who)... Otherwise, i pick what i think would have been "wrong".. But therein lies a problem.. Some of them have no right, or wrong, but getting a tiny piece of trash, makes it feel as though, it was just that!

@b10d1v: I totally agree.. Ive been of this opinion myself from the release.. I expect when i buy a game, that it was handled "professionally", and with care.. The same care i put in every, single plastics fabrication job i do, in my machine shop.. No mater if its the same job ive done 5000pcs of, for almost 18yrs now! I take PRIDE in my work, and even though im taking mroe time doing it, than i quoted the job, my customers come back because they know my work IS quality...Details, and happy customers, make your company...

I don't have a problem with some of the rewards, but many others are just plain immersion-breaking, and in big way.

I would actually loved to receive an ancient statue of armored Andraste from a war table mission...as in an actual statue I could put on display in my quarters.

But sadly this remarkable find is just a list entry in my inventory to be dumped at a random merchant for a handful of gold, worth a mere fraction of the cost of a new arms schematic.

It's treated like a cheap souvenir, not like an actual relic.

Exactly.. If i found this priceless, ancient artifact, i would expect to get something a little more rewarding from its sale.. Now i dont expect it to fund my entire game, but come on!  Its been untouched for mroe than a millenia!  And was held, or with Andraste herself!!!!

Its the broken resource system, clearly not play tested.

I mean I am near the end of the game and for doing table quests I am getting rewards like a paltry 60 influence or maybe 100 or so gold, seriously?

Also which I forgot to mention in patch4 thread is the chantry garden still bugged giving no gold?

Also if picking the herb or material influence rewards, you get something like 10 of each which is nothing, inquisitons is very tight.

End of a 40 hours mission:

"dear Inquisitor:

despite heavy losses battling through Darkspawn remnants, we uncovered the location of the treasure. Your informant was right, this discovery will help the Inquisition efforts greatly. We are sending back the treasures we found"

 - Obtained +10 influence

 - Obtained Belt of +5% healing

Best thing i've gotta was the Tyrddas Staff. You have to place all the banners in the Hinterlands and then the quest comes up. Default time is like 21 hours :/

Yeah the rewards suck on the map and then there are quests on the map that take anywhere between 3 hours up to 20 plus hours and that is just ridiculous. It gets to the point where people have to enact the logging out of the game going to their internet connection, disconnecting and then manually adjusting the time on their gaming consoles just to get past those super long map quests to get the rewards and even the the rewards suck big time.

Way to go BW for another badly thought out part of the game.

well... while I have to agree the rewards are mostly ridiculous, the time span doesn't really bother me... probably because I can manage 2-3 hours of gameplay a day, at best, and then I have to shower, go to sleep, get up and ready, attend my job, get groceries, cook, and once I'm back to gaming all that time has passed, and then some...

I just never felt like those were an issue. I'd like to get better rewards than nugskins, though.

I have to agree, influence and gold is fine, but the gold is a bit scanty and the item rewards for the most part are junk, and relatively worthless junk at that. There are a few schematics and weapons worth getting via WT but, why all the junk? Search caves, loose soldiers and get a nic nack size statuette worth 32 gold? Really, I sent soldiers to die for that? At least give me the choice to save my troops for zero reward or, make those things a better reward, like more gold, 20 of a t3 mat. or rare herb, five fade touched mats. something decent.

Rat my girl and I can see where you are coming from. This was not a big issue for us either until I got downsized at my job. So now while she works full time I am stuck looking for a new job and when I can't find any jobs to put an application in at, I play video games to keep my mind off of depressing stuff.

Still would like better rewards and better time management of the map quests. They get ridiculously high in time if a player has a day off or if they are unemployed like me.

I hated the war table mechanic and also the fact that it was often used in place of actual storytelling or quests.

There are quite a few times when you get the text "here is something for you" (or equivalent) on the War Table and you get only infl (as if an actual item hasn't arrived).

I've noticed this happens with quest rewards, too.

"Here is something for your trouble" is spoken--but no item is received. I don't remember all of them off the top of my head, but one of those is a ring from Vivienne.

I don't know if these are a bug, or an oversight.

As a side note, I'm also sick of Leliana eating all the good stuff before it gets to me. I'm the one out there risking my arse. I reckon she could at least share the damned chocolates. She has grown terribly selfish since DA:O.

The real reward is reading the text after completing war table missions to know nothing you did mattered!

10!? Hah!!!  The most i get is 3-6 from a Wt......

I pick mroe herbs in a single pick of them in the wild.. Taking the Inquisition perk Fine Cutting , or whatever, gives a 10% chance to harvest extra herbs.. Ive seen as many as 9 in a single pick, and only got this perk  last night...

yes but might there be an invisible reward stat ? like the gold mission you have tells you you get a potion of the gold earned the rest of the gold is in the inquisition coffer the message reads and well the more you make this mission the more gold in the coffers and hey who know inquisition becomes richer and richer  and can afford more stuff for soldiers and expenses ?

That is implied yes, but I think most of us would like to actually see that.
