Done it multiple times.  It's fun.  Did it the first few times with just me and my bro and finished a 2-man perilous run vs red Templars and Venatori.  We had trouble with demons because the demon commander popping out randomly seriously hurts.  4-man runs are much easier though.

Cool! No one I play with uses the assassin, so I thought I'd try my luck here.

I hope you find a group to play with.  It's definitely a lot of fun and a nice change from the usual barrier spam parties you will find on perilous runs.  It just takes a bit longer :)

One thing I really hate when we have assassins in pugs are assassin players that don't know what their role is on the field.  They try to compete with mages or archers, all of which are classes designed to take out the squishy targets.  A good assassin will almost always end up with the lowest score/number of kills, but saves the party from a lot of the pesky opponents like shielded venatori/red templars that block melee attacks, or despair demons that hit you while you are in cover.  It doesn't matter much, of course, if you are in a party with an Arcane warrior, or if you have mages that keep the party barrier up.

If you're looking for a challenge, get rid of all the barrier mages.  You will find a competent assassin to be an invaluable addition to the party :)

Mind me asking you guys what your assassin builds are? I want to mix it up a little.

My skills are:

Twin Fangs, Hidden Blades, Deathblow, Stealth

The most important passives are:

Looked Like It Hurt (10 stamina every hit), Easy to Miss (Threat Reduction the most important passive), and Dance of Death (50 stamina per kill).

The least important passives are:

Bloodthirst, Evasion, and Cripple

Quick Tip: If your team doesn't have a tank, consider getting I Was Never Here (Stealth reset after every kill). Yes, I know, some people will say that's a waste of a point on Fallback Plan, but having aggro reset after every kill is very very important.

Play style: take out high priority targets in zones 1-4. In zone 5(different with every team composition, but this is the main idea), while your group is in the starting room dealing with the boss, take out the mobs out in the open. Unless it's Venatori, then just poop on the VC before she even gets in the room.

Target priorities [high - low] by faction:

Venatori - Stalker, Mage, Marksman, Brute

Red Templar - Shadow, Knight, Horror, Marksman

Demons - Despair Demon, Terror, Rage Demon, Fear Demon (Demons are all interchangeable depending on the situation, team comp, etc except for Despair Demons I hate them..)
