ok so I made a post about this a little while ago but got distracted by Elite Dangerous (really awesome game) but now i have come back to trying to fix this problem. i did a full playthrough while avoiding the refugee camp and i can confirm that is the only point of failure.  i can confirm we have an Apphang error at this level only. omLkPqV.jpg

i also tried Running the TOC bin updaters as Ottemis recommended in an earlier thread but that didn't work. tried restoring from backup then re-modifying and i still had the same error. i am running out of options and i don't want to have to use texmod (there are reasons why it never left Beta) also here is my full mod invetory:7QfQuHc.jpg

By any chance, do you have the Zaeed conversation mod and/or do you use texplorer to install textures?

i actually made a post about this a while ago. i don't use the Zaeed convo mod. however i use Jam+Cem., oh and texplorer was used to install these textures. i used only rev 685 because i went and fixed the format of all unformatted textures recompiled the tpf's and then installed them

It's impossible for us to help troubleshoot such a freaking huge mod installation selection if you ask me.

Best I can advise you is install in batches until you run into the issue, process of elimination.

that's exactly what i did. first i installed a mod for a weapon that don't even appear in the refugee camp. then ran the game. loading failure at that level. it's gotta be something to do with the TOC bin

Are you manually running AutoTOC for basegame and TOCbin Updater for DLC (where applicable) after installing a (single problematic) mod?

tried that. still to no avail. many times in fact. both while the game was running (if that actually does anything) and when the game was closed. even ran the DLC TOC updater and it made no impact

You can get past it with a completely vanilla game and/or with JUST the content mods installed I assume?

And you've tried this with a variety of singly installed mods ontop of a completely vanilla game as well?

For now I'd try to rule out content mods compatibility issues entirely by just trying to get your game past that point with a single (texture/mesh) mod installed.

it loads blazing quick when running a vanilla game. no stalls what so ever. but as soon as any form of TOC bin update is done it goes wonky. could an antivirus actually deny a certain process of the TOC bin update without the user knowing?

Never heard of that being an issue.

Never heard of that being an issue.

before i reinstall everything i'll try rebuilding the TOC bin with avast disabled. if that makes a difference then the problem is solved. if not then time to reinstall everything

hold on a sec. do you think you could send me an unmodified .PCC file for the refugee camp. since i know that that one will work without texture mods. i can roll with an unmodified refugee camp. really the only reason why i need this fixed is so i can do the side missions that involve that level

If you have the exact PCC name, yes.

i couldn't actually locate the PCC files for the refugee camp. but i was looking through other threads about this problem and auto toc seemed to solve it for them. if it means anything i'm running net frame work 4.5.2 and texture modding used to work without error on standard net framework 4. do you think net framework could be the culprit?

It doesn't hurt to reinstall it, there's no saying really.

It's probably good to take this up on the me3explorer forums, I haven't been too active on the toolset front of late so not entirely up to date on recent events and/or known bugs with more recent versions.

its the Zeead Mod, I had that problem and did everything, 1. replace that File and run autoToc , DLCtoc the DLC_exp pack 003 base DLC game both patches, OnlinePass and DLC HEN, last but not least use the TOCBIN Updater. this should work. but be careful about using the normandy textures. Its reaaly important to back up your files, I learned the hard way. good gamming.
