There are those who never knew the joy of pulling a pyro over a counter, or never saw a weekend challenge.
What generation are you?
Me? I'm one of the old men sitting on the general store porch stealing pickles from the barrel as I remember walking uphill both ways to school in the snow.
Example - When I started there were only 2 packs you could buy in the store. 3 on special occasions.

When I started playing, all balance changes were done.
Another small detail: I played ME1 for the first time, after ME3 was released.

I started MP just after the Earth pack was released. I used to love weekend challenges but didn't complete all of them, it makes me sad when i look at the banners knowing i can't grab them all.
I shouldn't of took that break.... ![]()

I started playing ME3MP a couple days after the release (and I played the MP demo too), so I've seen pretty much everything.
As for ME1, I played it first in the end on 2008 I think -- finished three playthroughs in a month... Such an amazing game.
It was the reason I bought a 360.

I've played all three games from their release dates. Long time. Maybe too long.
I missed the first couple of challenges for mp. Been on this forum ever since.
Well... Except for an inevitable 9 month banishment. Stupid dancing cats!
I only came back for ME4 news. Turns out, there really isn't any news. So I guess I've just been sticking around hoping for steak, and maybe some cake too.

I started MP in Oct 12, just when the Collectors were added as enemies. Weekend Challenges were great, and Lodestar in particular was a great one to finish on, as I'd say I was far from the only player who would possibly never have played Platinum without that incentive. The fuss over balance changes was truly hilarious at times, though I was often on the wrong end of them - I unlocked EDI the day after she was nerfed. Yes folks, EDI was nerfed!

I'm from the generation that regrets the TGI and AIU being introduced because they kill the coop dynamic unless whoever plays them doesn't know how to use them.
When they nerfed the Piranha, the GI wasn't as bad. The game was just fine.

I'm from the generation when everyone and his mother mocked me for loving the Drellguard.
... But this guy showed me how to do it ![]()
Anyway. I played ME1 on january 2012, ME2 just after that, and finished it some weeks after ME3 was released. Started ME3 SP, finished it, and by the time I got to play the MP, Earth had just been released.

Anyway, I started playing soon after Earth was released.
Roundhouse kick and cluster grenade ALL THE THINGS!!!!
You blazed the trail for people realizing Drellguard is a great character, what with all the support and your accumulated OP drell knowledge on here. Made it a lot easier for the class to become popular (semi-popular; drellguard is the ME3 equivalent of the guy with thick black-rimmed glasses, tattoos and a skinny tie
).
I do remember when playing Drellguard in PUGs was impossible. If you tried, even if you were the host, you'd get kicked! Now people will tolerate just about anything. Anything except for Quarian Female Engineer, that is.

From the second the demo was available to me.
Unlocking the SI in the demo was pretty much an instant win button.
Other found memories: QFIs going absolutely berserk on the forums at those heinous bosh'tets (aka: teammates) for shooting their hacked primes instead of, you know, shooting things with that cannon in their claws. That ladder was thee place to be.

The Tactical Cloak war was a fun time. So much anger on the boards. Pro-Nerf V Anti-Nerf.
The Krysae Catastrophe.
I could go on, but I forgot most of it.

Not sure if serious. Really? QFE is a problem for some people?! They haven't met Quarian Master Race with a Claymore!

That'd be like saying "This one class with the Talon is really good."
I mean like, no kidding. The Talon is good on anybody, natch. Line up headshots with the Claymore and woohoo, things die. If you don't mind the cooldowns, which really, doesn't that defeat the purpose of playing a particular class?

I think i started summer 2012 (after one or 2 vanguard SP), one or two dlcs before earth. It took me quite a long time to come here though. Thats why i only played the arc pistol (cause damage bar) for quite some time and stayed on silver for even longer. Novaguard and SI were my kits.
As for generation, nothing very fancy to differentiate ? WE challenge were fun but less than spectre operations for example. Balance changes maybe.
