I came in just after the Collector DLC & sometime before the final DLC. So I'm really one of the guys that wanted at least one more MP stage (especially since it was already done. BioWare clearly hates us).

 

I started ME series sometime just after ME3 release. Started with ME1, then ME2, then ME3, rinse, repeat a few times with a difficulty increase each repeat. So the series hooking me in so much, it was only natural that the day I finally gave MP a chance that I'd be hooked from the get go up until at least I maxed manifest.

 

There were many things to try and ask here on the forums while working on manifest. An addiction I can't believe outlasted SP by so much more.

 

I do remember when playing Drellguard in PUGs was impossible. If you tried, even if you were the host, you'd get kicked! Now people will tolerate just about anything. Anything except for Quarian Female Engineer, that is.

 

Seriously? FQE is not cool these days? ... I miss old BSN...

I love rooms filled with newbies where nobody uses gear. It's so challenging, trying to keep people alive and be a good team player while doing so. It's great! So much better than "pew pew, everything is dead." At least, I think so.

 

Wow, looks like you picked up my torch and carried it while I was on another break. This is the sort of chat I used to have around here.

 

I haven't been playing like this in awhile. Used to use only level 1 consumables in Gold pug games for the longest time (check my manifest, only lvl.1 consumables are still the only ones in double digit. Got over 200 of just about everything else). Also used the weapon challenges as a great motivation for playing with all weapons more equally.

 

These days I totally suck and totally slap only level 3 consumables and mostly trying my new maxed UR weapons.... what happened to me?... Oh yeah, 63mil in a day spending spree & hello instant maxed manifest... no wonder I took another break...

 

 

But yeah, I agree. Pugging with teams with no gear and closer to their dps as well makes for the most interesting Gold matches. The highlight of my ME3mp sessions. Always.

Started playing MP in April 2012, am totally addicted to ME.

 

Silver was *way* hard in those days; 4 people with mics could barely survive bronze!  It took me 3 months to convince my regular squad to play gold.  They hated me when we bled out but we eventually managed the weekend challenge!

• SI was the best infiltrator
• Camping the lower room in FBW to get grabs
• Gear didn't exist
• I remember the Krysae nerf with anger and hatred in my very soul
• I rearranged family events just so I could play weekend challenges...  In fact we had intermittent broadband in those days and I put in a complaint that the crappy ISP was causing me distress as I couldn't play in a challenge weekend
• I remember the Banned bsners; a certain person revered for headshots and then the Fury fury...
