Nothing can go wrong.

Why would you say that? If the game is like

Then you're gonna be like

And if Bloodborne is also a flop?
I think some people may have to be put on suicide watch if that happened.
Drowned Pinocchio makes me sad

I love how everytime a bad game comes out everyone freaks out and starts crying about the death of the gaming industry. Has the overall quality of games being released has gone up so far from the late nineties/early two thousands that mediocre games are suddenly industry threatening instead of just mediocre?
I think it's because the variance between good and bad are getting slimmer and genre lines are getting blurred, so everything feels "the same". Back in the Nineties there were a lot more crappy games coming out then there are now, but the rise of the AAA behemoth industry, where there's a lot more "average" games that revolve around broadly the same kind of genres (Action/Adventure) can draw fatigue from the average gamer.
That, combined with a lack of foresight on how to progress technology (in the Nineties, you could see visible improvements every year when it came to graphics, mechanics, etc) outside of gimmickry ("filmic", moar polygons) combined with rising budgets, you can't help but feel that there's a tipping point.
Like look at all the major releases in 2014/2015 - Watch Dogs, Far Cry 4, Dying Light, Evolve, Dragon Age: Inquisition, The Crew, AC: Unity, Destiny, Titanfall, CoD: AW, The Order: 1886, etc.
These are all games that costs hundreds of millions of dollars to make and while they all probably broke even on paper, could you imagine another 2-3 years of these kinds of releases? You could describe each game as "meh". It doesn't seem sustainable because costs are still rising and sales numbers are trending down, not up. The last real AAA hits with true AAA sales numbers were GTA V and Skyrim.
I don't particularly mind, I've got a large backlog and my tastes these days can be sated by the PC Indie RPG and the Grand Strategy scenes. I won't say anything like "The Crash is Inevitable", but AAA gaming seems like it's in a bad place if you ask me.

Much like with good music, one has to go out and actively search for good games. Case and point, last month I finally found a successor to Sonic 3& Knuckles (after 21 years!) with "Freedom Planet".
Ys became my new "Zelda", Legend of Heroes became my new 'Final Fantasy" and now I have my new "Sonic" with this.
(I still buy Call of Duty and Far Cry for my pew pew fix)

lol 5 or 6 hours?
Naw man.
I'll stick to Torment and Pillars kthxbye
I won't get any more Call of Duty unless it's another WW2 related one.
Wow, I actually had high hopes for this one. In short:
6 hours long campaign with no multiplayer
Plot leaves many issues in the open and unresolved
Minute long final boss consisted of nothing but QTE
Cringe worthy sequel bait ending.
The only good thing I can truly say about this game is that it's an visual marvel, but the same can be said about Crysis, and look how that series ended.
I expected more from the creators of God of war.

It's a real waste, the graphics in The Order 1886 are beautiful but it has way too many cut scenes many of which are really long. The game play is very linear, no exploration at all, the story isn't that great either and for me zero replay value, I found it so boring because of all the cut scenes and lack of exploration. It arrived on Friday (pre-ordered from Amazon) and I am going to trade it in at Game tomorrow, really disappointed with it.
