Anyone unable to hear the chat in-game? I see the microphone during loadout screens, yet can't hear anyone. Oddly enough, the one person I'm "friends" with on Xbox One and play with, I hear fine.

 

Experiences? Any possible fixes?

I've had the game chat not work several times.  I have to back out of the game and restart it, or even restart my xbone console to get it to work again.

Restarting doesn't do anything. This seems to be an issue with a setting, I just can't for the life of me figure out which one is causing it.

1. The other players are not saying anything, their mics are just picking up white noise
2. You were probably muted by the other players. When another player mutes you it goes both ways. It will still show as a mic being active on your screen though.*

 

*Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just assuming it works that way

1. and 2. are possible, I just find it unlikely. Have not heard a single person use a mic in my entire time playing. Over prestige 200 now. But, hopefully thats the case and I'll run into a group that uses the chat eventually.

Over the weekend, I recently had a session where I couldn't hear anyone at all, and on top of that I couldn't see my own speaker icon.  The next day, upon resuming DA:I, an error message popped up that said that game chat was disabled because privacy settings were enabled.  The strange thing was that my privacy settings are all open.  It could've been that my kid's profile was also signed in at the time and DA:I took that into account.
