I agree with number 2... Orian Tabris II (the 2nd), ended up having 4 specialisations! I miss that.

(Yes, it's possible to have 4. You can get a 4th spec in, I think it was Witch Hunt, via the Circle's library. Unaffected by level, I think.)

Orian Tabris II agrees with number 1. Dual-Wield Warrior!

I'd say it's safe to say that we'll get an expansion. Pretty sure BioWare would have done one for DA2, if it hadn't done so poorly. =(

No dual wield warriors, they should be two handed or sword and board. I detest seeing them with two swords.

Yes for Vitaar and Qunari armor but ONLY for Qunari, not everyone. We need a unique Qunari only armor for each class and, craftable vitaars for Qunari.

An expansion would be good, preferably one with more interacting and less fighting.

Gore animations, no big deal, I can take them or leave them.

Aw yeah? Well, I detest people calling it "sword and board" instead of "sword and shield." I'm not even joking.

EA wants PG-13 family friendly stuff.

Nothing says Family Friendly like Cassandra boobs, and Sera's swearing.

I really want a class the specializes in just using one long sword and nothing else, maybe two-hand the longsword. I want it to have it's own unique animations, not just Sword and Shield with a missing shield.  One of the post I read on a thread before, someone called them Finesse Warriors, I think.

because of the tree system that doesn't even have to be a specialization, like the two handed it can just be a unique tree to take skills from, with the added bonus being that the first skill in the tree being a passive that requires you have nothing in your off hand in order to gain the benefits of the trees other passives and to utilize any of the more powerful skills in the tree.

In fact thats the good thing about the skill trees in DA:I they can add new ones without much explanation or locking them behind specialization choices.

I'd prefer it to be a Rogue class subset, since you can't choose your armour type. Heavy armour on a Warrior like that just wouldn't work and would look a little bit too silly.

true, though that is something i wish they kept from origins, armor proficiency and or skills that made wearing heavier armor available to only certain classes.

Why did they stray so far away from Origins? What was so hard about learning about stats and how to allocate them, learning that certain skills were exclusive to certain classes, that some skills made the use of certain weapons and armors more ideal for certain classes.

Thats like 0.5 sec of the game time. You can find more boob in the national geographic. And I knew more and better swear words than Sera already at age 10.

I agree there needs to be a full blown expansion.  I tried to keep playing after the final boss and its just boring.  There is no dialogue with companions or anything.  I feel like so much was left up in the air and I want a continuation to the story and I agree there should be more dialogue and not so much fighting.  I would like to see how the relationshipas and allegiences you worked so hard to form progress.  Also the romances just kinda drop off after the end of the game, I get that you can't marrry during the story but why not after?  I feel like they talk about how there is still so much to do but the game is just kind of boring now, you can't continue to build relationships or anything.  Definitely needs an expansion soon.

Vitaars suck... I want DA2 style Vitaars like the qunari had. The red running from chin down to chest, etc.

Then again qunari were a very cool beastial race back then, now they're elves with horns.

I understand that Vitaar were actually intended to be full body armor. But it was later scrapped and simply made face paint instead. The codex entry, in no way, indicates vitaar are just face paint with fancy magical properties.

Yes for Vitaar and Qunari armor but ONLY for Qunari, not everyone.

You misunderstood. When I said for everyone, I said it as an option. If you don't want your Inquisitior running barechested across the battlefield, You can just leave it.

I agree with you, but I would prefer that Bioware does it right. They have advertised Dragon Age, since the beginning as a Dungeons and DragonsTM game, but they have failed miserably with some of the very basic rules:

1. Fighters can use all weapons and armor. (That would solve many complaints)

2.  A Rogue's primary weapons are short sword, dagger, shortbow and crossbow. Allowing them to use all one-handed weapons, small shields, and bows only makes sense.

3. WEAPONS DON'T HAVE LEVELS!!!! They NEED to remove the levels on all weapons/items.

The violation of these 3 VERY BASIC principles have destroyed my enjoyment of DAI. The other thing I absolutely hate is having to login online to play a game in single player mode.

I WISH BIOWARE WOULD DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY, instead of the greedy way by trying to control all aspects of our gaming lives.

I agree with one and two.

Three however: They have level requirements because they removed the ability to control your own stat progression, they had to find a way to make it possible to acquire better items and keep them locked away for higher character use.  Choosing ability A because it gives 3 Con or 3 Str isn't choosing progression, in DA:O you could be an extremely dexterous warrior because you preferred bows to heavy weapons.

The Archer of DAMP feels like he's a Dex Warrior, not really a rogue as he's one of two jammed in the rogue class without stealth. I'd put Isabela in her own little niche but in the previous iterations she was a Duelist class which was a rogue spec that had access to Stealth, and then a Rogue that had access to stealth and now she's a ranged tanky class; she's now closer to a DA:O warrior than she's ever been before.

Its always been a part of Dragon Age that the better your character became, the better gear you could equip. It's not something new, its just done differently because of a system change.

Side note: I would like to add on the OPs post with: bring back baked in bonuses for Specs, we still sort of get them for base classes but now you don't even get a kicker for joining a new spec. In previous titles, you got a small bonus for joining a particular spec such as a small stat boost or a bonus to a given resistance. As far as I can tell, that's all gone. I do miss the Spirit Warrior, but I miss being a real Templar as well. This new Templar feels that it should have been renamed "Seeker" as it fits far more into the "Kill demons" than it does "Specialize in magic for the containment and control of Mages"

We lost 3 very important things gameplay wise.

- Useful tactics
- Attribute points
- ABILITY TO SWITCH WEAPONS!

In DA:O it was awesome when you'd rock up into a battle and you can switch your rogues from DW to ranged. It made the battles so much more dynamic and you didn't have to force yourself killing opponents who get too close with a bow or getting annihilated from afar since the only ranged character you have in the party is your mage. Also, because staffs (staves?) are elemental do you know how annoying it is to close a rift with only one mage with a fire staff and you have to fight rage demons? The elemental mechanic only made weapon switching so much more necessary, yet it got scrapped...why?

Armor wasn't based on class in Origins; it was based on strength or magic in the case of the Arcane Warrior. There were very few spec related pieces of gear in Origins. That's one of my biggest gripes when people bring up Origins to DA:I, we got level restricted gear because we no longer have attribute allocation. It was one or the other and with the design of the classes as they are with stat points being built into the passives in trees.

@Dread-Reaper They could do it as a warrior with one sword, they would have to do a bit of work to make the animations work. I don't think even the 'duelist' we got in MP feels like a Rogue, she's a dex warrior just like the archer (The two 'rogues' without stealth). I miss my dexterity warrior........ Heavy armor warriors with one sword don't look silly <.<

It was related to class though because certain skills were only available to certain classes, the Warrior class(specifically learning Powerful) made the use of heavy armor less taxing on the player meaning you didn't suffer fatigue nearly as much as a rogue trying to do the same thing. Less stamina expenditure means more use of the skills they had, hence what I said.

1 - I prefer Spirit Warrior ability tree.

2 - Two specs for the Inquisitor? Yes! I would love to be Rift Mage and Knight Enchanter. Virtuoso, Avvar and Duelist can be added for more options.

3 -  Maybe not. Unique race stuff is good and add more context to story.

4 - Expansion? Yes! With nature and healing spells, more talents for warriors and rogues as spirit warrior and ranger. At least one more slot for potions and new options of potions, tonics and grenades. More weapons and armors. A lot of people is asking about hair, so more hair. And more areas, four is a good number.

No, you're not. The Archer in MP feels far more like a Warrior than a Rogue based on his skill set and the lack of stealth.

Wishlist to Bioware - make it more like Origins. The characters, the dialogue, the music, the locations all had depth and atmosphere and felt lived in and full of lore and history.

Origins was like living in Thedas. Inquisition was like a theme park ride about Thedas.

Stat instead of Class restriction on armor.

Magic should be every bit as powerful and fearful as the general populous believe it is. A Mage is by narrative more than just a class choice it's a like special being, you shouldn't have to equalize them so that they don't feel over powered compared to the other classes, they should in fact feel over powered because they are in fact powerful. This applies to enemy mages as well.

Hair, unique hair styles and numerous common hair styles for every race option. Long hair, short hair, medium hair, no hair.

Fix the hair colors, if I want red hair, i should be able to get it to the redist red, or flaming orange.

bring back the currency system, coppers, silvers, sovereigns.

Stat allocation, bring back the ability to customize our ability scores the way we want too.

bring back racial traits and special abilities.

Bring Back All Specializations, every last one.

If I gain a special ability in story make sure i have away to use it when i want to.. (Well of Knowledge)

I want a one-handed-no-shield longsword fighting style for warriors, Lichtenauer style. Because that stuff was awesome.

I have a few of my own.

1. Get rid of the constant grumpy face. Seriously, why does everyone have this ugly scowl on their faces outside of cutscenes?

2. Female characters should have female animations in cutscenes. Watching my female elf walk around as if she's hunched forward, carrying watermelons under her arms and between her knees, is painful. If Cassandra can have a feminine walk in cutscenes, so can the female Inquisitor. Or, for those who hate the female walk, a toggle/option to swap between the feminine and masculine movements.

3. Give some point to having the bedroom in Skyhold. Put in some shelves that can house certain 'valuables' you can pick up (e.g. a 'glass' collection where you can actually see the Glass Halla, Glass Fox, etc.), similar to the display case in ME. Put the planned storage container in there (or a second one that shares the contents with the one in the Undercroft). Put in a wardrobe so people can change their pajamas into other outfits (even just recolours of said pajamas).

The bedroom is something I noticed right away. There is nothing to do there. It's a setting for some scenes but that's it. At the very least, a "Rest" button over the bed would be nice.

The grumpy face and man walk need to go away too. I'm hoping modders or preferably Bioware fix it soon.

Bioware should take a look at the sword and shield combat of "Dark Souls" and "Skyrim" and redo the combat for dragon age
