So I'm running around Haven and I hear those two soldiers by the trebuchets arguing about the defenses again. I zoom in on one of them and it's clearly a female NPC. Despite the lippy and boobles he got called "sir" and had a big burly voice so I don't think this was intentional . I thought it was a unique bug to one of my saves but the burly voiced female solider was there in another character save as well. Anyone else seen this? It's quite funny.

That's funny I never noticed one of those NPCs was female .. they hide them females well

I really wish there was more feminine females though, it saddens me

It is ser, which is gender-neutral in Thedas.

There is a female dwarf and an Orlesian chevalier in Val Royeaux who's voices were always swapped for me. The chevalier talked with a female American accent and the dwarf talked with a male "Orlesian" accent.

Yeah, I have also noticed females having a male voice in some places. Been like that from the start.

My guess is that whatever populates the NPCs is different from what assigns the background chatter.
