So here's the situation I'm in:

 

1) Romanced Blackwall

2) Haven't talked to Iron Bull or Sera at all since I got to Skyhold

3) Completely both Wicked Hearts and Here Lies the Abyss

4) Left Blackwall to rot in prison (cos I'm horrible)

 

Afterwards, I started talking Sera. Flirted with her a bunch, got lots of approval, had cookies on the roof. She's flirty when I talk to her, but I've run out of ways to increase her approval at this point, still not option to start a relationship. 

 

So I gave up on her and started flirting with Iron Bull. Did his personal quest, flirted with him at every option, and now I've run out of dialog options with him. He's still not showing up in my bedroom. 

 

So my question is - am I locked out of their romances because I never broke up with Blackwall during a break up dialog option? Or is it some other issue, like being too late in the game to start a romance? I feel like with Iron Bull (since I've done his romance before) I should have high enough approval for it to trigger.

I bet there are some relationship-related mods out there, though...

...and not only those making Sera (or worse, Dorian) straight.

Only mods out right now are cosmetic ones that recolor basic things like the inquisitor's pyjamas. Maybe you can do something with the romance flag if you edit your save file through the cheat engine or something, but I wouldn't know how that works.

I fear the day when make gay characters straight and make straight characters gay come. At least this time they won't work well since there isn't recorded dialogue for it like in older games where the VAs for the protagonist recorded every line, even ones that the character would never say due to being the wrong gender.

Why would it be worse making Dorian straight than Sera? Not that I want either to happen.

I would imagine the poster is referring to how that would spit in the face of the themes of Dorian's quest, but tbh, it's equally gross.

Spring him, dump him (altho maybe don't make him your slave or send him to the wardens cuz Sera hates that), then date Sera?
