I've been reading and occasionally posting in the Mass Effect and Dragon Age forums for a few weeks now. All of a sudden tonight some of the sub-forums for those games are saying I don't meet the requirements to post in them. Even though I have posted in some of them before. Why am I not able to post in those forums anymore all of a sudden? Is it a site glitch due to overtaxing by it's members? What's going on here?

it prevents pirates from accessing the forums, since they dont have a code to register.

It's been a little wonky for me, too. I registered my xbox 360 version of ME 2 last night and now half the time I go on the Xbox 360 ME 2 support forum it says I don't meet the requirements to post and the other half the time I don't get that message. I tried the PC forum and haven't received a message about not meeting the requirements even though I don't have a PC game and so obviously have never registered one.

your xbox game is registered on the site. you can see the little red and white "2" icon under your avatar.

I've been having issues with registration, and it's annoying that I can't post in certain places.



Anyways, I'm sure I'll get it resolved quickly enough, but it seems like a pointless measure to take. It possibly inconveniences those who have legally purchased the game, while not significantly impacting piracy. Let's be honest, if you're a software pirate, are you going to go and buy the game so you can access the forum, or are you just going to join third party forums dedicated to the game? Like most DRM, I think it's vastly ineffectual and misguided.

This is ridiculous. I registered my ME2 copy a couple of days ago, but I still can't post in the forums.



I fully appreciate keeping pirates and riffraff out, but when you start messing with paying customers, there is a problem.

The Social Forums' applicable choices for games to register is very short. Only Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 are being registered here. Old games are still supposed to be registered with the "Legacy" Bioware forums.

You might want to have a look at the Register games page, accessible from the link or through the left panel: "My Games ==> Register games". Works fine. Used it today.

And that sucks for me since I borrowed game from friend of mine.

Also when I said borrowed I didn't ment pirated, I seriously borrowed original copy.
