Where is the code on the mass effect 2 ps3 box, and does it matter that my copy is second hand?

I can't even post in some of the Mass Effect 1 forums. They aren't locked either.

Are you absolutely certain you weren't trying to add a comment to a CLOSED thread there?

And are you certain you weren't banned?

Have you heard of a ban that was specific to only one set of forums?  I thought it was pretty well site-wide.

it prevents pirates from accessing the forums, since they dont have a code to register.

I'll disagree with this possibility. If I play the game from a BlockBuster rental and I want to interact with the community It discriminates against my not owning the game! I'm playing the game (actually my daughter's version) but I don't get credit for playing the game cause I don't want to spring to have 2 copies of the same single player game! So being frugal  keeps me from participating in that community!?!

You just have to log in as if you are your daughter, that's the only limitation.

Simple enough.  Both of you are not allowed to both play and participate on one account at once.  That's definite.  She can cancel her account to let you register, or you can actually buy something.   Renting doesn't count.

It's a little strict, but it's actually a smart way to keep feedback limited to those who actually bought the game. (the paying customer)

For example, I played DA2 on a friend's PC (briefly), but they don't care about my opinion because I didn't personally fork over the (what $60?)money for the game. So not only do they keep pirates out also they make sure that (even though BSN looks like the largest bridge in the world)they can reduce trolling.

I mean, no disrespect, but even if you bought the game for your daughter, they probably care more about HER feedback because she was the end customer.

Actually not. My daughter does not live at home. I do not talk anything like her and do not condone hi jacking someone's account like that. Not to mention it is an invasion of privicy, and I am sure she says things I don't want to read in a PM... as a dad of a 20 year old young woman.

I own both DAO and DA2 - purchased games same time from Playstation Store.  Registered on bioware site but the only UPC code provided was an image under DAO and it doesn't work.  Have been trying for last 3 weeks to have this corrected, becuase it's affecting my game play.

I'm seriously considering filing a complaint. I purchased a game but cannot fully play it because neither Bioware nor EA games will fix this registration glitch.

This is essentially just gamers talking with gamers. Making threats here is totally meaningless. Visit EA if you need to complain.

Your profile's avatar says otherwise.  Only the ME2 Icon appears under the picture.;

Yeah, I tried posting in the forums...but all I'm getting is this "You do not meet the requirements to post in this forum. Please see the FAQ for more details." I registered my Mass Effect 2 game and the icon under my avatar isn't showing up. I don't know, could be the fact a bought a used game -_- But yeah, this is annoying. Do I need to buy a brand new ME2 game, or should I just wait a bit until I'm able to register the Mass Effect 3 game?

I visited the forums for the first time 2 days ago, created a thread that day, posted yesterday, and then came back today with this message 'you do not meet the requirements....'.  What's changed?  I even registered ANOTHER game today, and the message is still there.

Same story as Mistcrawler (though I created an account 2 weeks ago).. except for the fact that I sold DA: Origins last year so unless I have a photographic memory how the hell am I supposed to know the code? Also I downloaded ME1 from the Marketplace so unless tthat also has a code I don't know... Finally Mass Effect 3 isn't arriving in the UK for another 4 days so I'm not allowed to post? Honestly there is anti-piracy and then there's downright outrageous...

Am I not the only one getting this problem then?

I can't post on the Mass Effect forums randomly, and the FAQ that it tells me to go to provides no explanation whatsoever. And the Mass Effect 2 symbol does appear under my Name and image.

Many of the ME3 forums are now only available to Mass Effect 3 game owners. Register your copy of ME3 and you should be able to post there again. :)

I'm getting this problem to, I registered Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition through Origin. I don't know why I can't post.
Edit, Nevermind I have resolved the issue.
