Ok. I have the same issue. I just bought ME2 again 2nd hand on a new ps3. I bought the game at release new with cerberus code and linked my profile to EA. Now I start up the game and I have to enter a redeem code again? Why? Also I can't post in ME2 forums but I can in ME3. Why does Bioware have to make these things so utterly confusing> sigh.
TTBOMK, its excxuse is to eliminate giving any kind of support at all to users of pirated copies of the game. Since the greatest majority of gamers coming into the forums do not have your problem, the usual cause is failure to pay good attention to the games' System Requirements. You must be able to connect within the game via the Internet to be fully registered, and some owners of console games, particularly, have avoided that connectability.
There is no work-around that I know of while that avoidance remains in effect.

Could you be more specific; there are a number of sub-forums that are locked?Vonchiz wrote...
I can't post and I've had an account since 2009 and have multiple games registered...???

There have already been a lot of questions, answers, but Google is nuts to claim 466,000 hits on those criteria!
Now, if that isn't the case, protecting the membership from annoyance by Commercial Spammers is a bad thing? Seems pretty normal to me. You register an actual game that you actually bought, first.Just-Me wrote...

All of the forums are basically Peer Level. They are for gamers to discuss things with other gamers. Official support is c/o EA. The several "Bioware General" forums do attract a certain amount of attention from a few Bioware people, but on no fixed schedule at all, save that they never show up on weekends, ever.
In your case, you must contact EA.
Appearing at the top of every page, you will have seen, but apparently failed to read, this:
" If you are having trouble registering your game, contact an EA Game Advisor for assistance."
There's been a change to add a 24 hour waiting period to when you can start.Gorath Alpha wrote...
As soon as the little game Icon under your forum avatar appears, you should be free to post in ME3's restricted forums.
The exact terminology that the Bioware Administrator used has been altered slightly:
"If you have any difficulty registering your game, please visit the EA help site or contact an EA Game Advisor for assistance."
Incidentally, right now, it seems that ME-3 is where no one can get properly registered in their profiles without jumping through very special flaming hoops while holding your tongue against the side of one special tooth, and crossing the fingers of both hands while doing it. The Game Advisers, however, can get you sorted out.

So you are telling me that I cannot post in any of the Mass Effect forums unless I have a registered game/Origins account?? Or......what?? This is so confusing and not at all what I expected from the forums!!

I come across an interesting little thread I wish to add my 2p's worth to I suddenly am not allowed. I feel as though I have been sent to the naughty step for doing nothing wrong. PS. I do have the relevant accounts, I do have access to the relevant areas, and I am over the age of 18 and of sound mind.

Im sry for little offtopic, only have two short questions:
- Why cant i start a blog? Yes, i´ve been registred for more than 24h+. What is missing?
- I was also thinking, is it possible to "hide" forums you dont read? On the forum mainpage for example.

I've been registered for more than 24 hours, I registered my game (ME3) and according to my data here, I've also used Origin to play/login/whatever.
I can post in the general ME3 forums (done so), however, I'm not allowed to post in the 'technichal issues' one. Why? Any ideas?

The description says "help with this website" and the website is "social.bioware.com". So why is my question out of place? *confused*
Anyway, someone told me that Bioware has closed all ME3 Tech Support forums. Could this be a reason?

Just Me was talking about wasthe description of the tech forums
"This forum is now read only. All technical support is through Answer HQ or EA Customer Service."
which is on all tech boards
except for the ones that instead link to Answer HQ
