Why is Iron Bull's romance popular?

Bull to me was kind of a turn-off. It's implied to be all BDSM, all the time, which is fine for some, but not to my taste in the slightest.

The rest of the romance could've been the greatest thing since sliced bread, but the whole Dom/sub thing was a huge turn off for me. So, OP, I don't get it either, but I suppose it's largely a matter of taste.

Yeah this whole topic boils down to opinions. Seems like some people can't really handle hearing others' opinions. Thus is the internet. lol

Wat.

He clearly says that's restricted to the bedroom. I understand not liking it we all have preferences after all.

Yeah, I meant the BDSM thing all the time re: sex. If it was just like a "Hey, how bout we try this once or twice," I would've been ok. But, the "this is what we're going to do all the time in the bedroom" is a huge turnoff for me.

...Where else would it be restricted to?

24 hour m/s relationship and yes those exist.

Ah that's fair. ^_^ As above I thought you were conflating the two. Since you're not my bad!

Why would you think that'd require a trust fund baby?

I'm making a joke about how a person couldn't balance a full time job and be 24/7 m/s.

(Unless it's "Bring Your Gimp To Work" day?) hahahaha

Eh I wouldn't make such an assumption seeing as I've never done it.

Now try to hold my breath under water for an hour I have. And *that's* impossible.

Because people wear signs on their head about everything they do normally.

Did we watch the same cutscene? Because I saw a guy barely controlling his anguish. He just watched his homeland go up in smoke, effectively- since he can never go back and will be considered a traitor there. He's very upset about it. But he's not a broody type so he's able to move on.

I think the skinny elf is a Tallis stand-in. It shows, for those who haven't played Mark of the Assassin, that the Qun is not served only by Qunari.

But, all this said, his romance isn't for me. I can't see anything romantic or sexy in hurting and demeaning your partner, even if it's consensual and all for play. Too bad, because otherwise I'd role a Qunari chick for him.

I really liked Tallis, and especially Gatt. They really add perspectives to Qunari society beyond what we're traditionally used to seeing. Hearing his backstory was especially fascinating.
