Why do elves look more freaky than sweet and sexy?

Most of them are baldy and since DAII they were more AVATAR like.The nose often is straight...

They need more long hairstyles.

The Humans are looking better than elves in generally.

Why dont they look more human like oldschool?

They could still have weaker body and fine skin but schould look beatiful. (its an old race and the appearences doesnt fit to their former glory)

Isnt it possible to make another difference in appearence? Better make bigger eyes than these straight noses, or eyes that looks more like that of cats or something like that

We all have different tastes in what elves should look like.... I think that elves in this game look good. They should fix the arms of the male elf though....

 

Compared to elves from DA2,the elves we have now are a step forward. They don't look like giant bugs anymore. If you want bigger "cat" eyes, you can make that with the CC with the appropriate eye shape.

 

We complained that in DAO the elves were too human and that in DA2 they were ugly as hell. I think DAI got them right this time. A body mass option would be great for those who want their elf to be more "meaty".

IMO DAI has been better with elves than ever.

 

But still not as good as they could be. Almost there though!

 

BTW does the male elf Inquisitor still look like crap?

The only problem I have with elves, are the male elf's arms are shaped weird. Other then that elves are fine. Heck, I got a smexy elf

Yeah I came across this as well and thought "WTF man". So far it's the only weird looking NPC I've seen, but she's been there with the severed head of her prize in each playthrough.

I think this is the best version of Elves yet. They still have problems with the arms, but other then that I like them. Origins just had them look like small humans, and in 2 they were just too freaky.

Maybe they can have shoulders wider than their hips - at least for males - in DA4.

I liked the elves in Inquisition. If anything, I liked that they didn't look like miniature humans, or pinheads. They also have appearances that are a little more true to the books, which I, at least, appreciated. Overall I felt like this was a step forward for them, in terms of design. There's a ton of different looks one can come up with with the new CC. Additional body types would be great to see, but on my Bioware wishlist that goes behind a few other things. Just my two cents.

While I love the elves in DAI, I can't say that I love the Qunari.... Sten was the best Quanri design in my humble opinion. He looked different, but nothing was exaggerated on him. In DAI, Iron Bull looks more like hellboy with horns...

Looking at some of the concept art for IB, I'm pretty sure Hellboy was kinda an inspiration for him

If I were to pick between The Arishok and Iron Bull's design, The Arishok wins.... While he is still "horny" cough.. cough.. (  horns), he looks more of a Qunari than Iron Bull, but Sten was still the most balanced Qunari design for me at least. .

@ TheOgre and Vader20: i agree with you what you said about Qunari

 

i dont think the elves were more bad in DA2! In DAI there are both forms. (avatar elves and more human looking)

In DA2 i think Fenris and Merril look really good! Sera isnt looking that good.

But take a look in the character editor in DAI! Its easier to create an good looking human than an elve!

Same is for the Qunari in the editor. Iron Bull is looking good.The Qunari Design in DA2 was great too especially the Arishok! Oh i miss this design...  

 

What i REALLY cant understand is why most elves get baldy! (In DA2 i think this was more extreme)

And take a look on the noses-There are a normal form and the avatar form which is straight like they was running through a wall and the nose stayed in the crushed position...

 

I prefer these one like in the concept! Normal noses, and HAIR!!!! PLEASE GIVE THEM HAIR!!!

 

I meant they better change something on the eyes than the nose. Or give them other skin tones. More green, blue, golden, dark aso...

But for me isnt it enough that they have the ears, and weaker body? Even the dwarves are looking better now-and they "only" are smaller in size!
