Self-identifying with a million different labels to seem special is bad enough, but what I hate personally is when people try to force labels on you.
And you know who the people are that force labels on others? The same camp that says, "Don't label me". LOLWUT
I've dealt with this personally;I've said a thousand times over and a thousand times again that I don't care whether someone's white or black, gay or straight, man or woman, tall or short, skinny or fat, cis or trans, etc etc- a human being is a human being, we're all equal, so we should all treat each other equally and with kindness and an open mind.
Then people say I'm a feminist. I say no to that because I don't want to be associated with some of the ideals and beliefs that extremists use, those very extremists calling themselves feminists with no other identifier(I've got no problem with the sensible feminists, but the problem is, every feminist thinks they're being sensible).
And yet, I get told that I can't deny the truth. Then when you throw the truth back at them about themselves, "ITS NOT THE SAME, DON'T LABEL ME, I DON'T WANT TO BE LABELED"

The SVU episode pretty much labeled the entire gaming community, gamers to developers alike.
