On my last playthrough I played a more "bottom-answer" proned character. Naturally this led to some characters not liking me, yet I was surprised to find in Varric's game of wicked grace (done after completing his "Oh, ****" quest) that someone was missing. I knew Dorian wouldn't be there because I punched him and he left the inquisition but Cassandra wasn't, and I was pretty sure she was there the first time I played. Apparently only characters who like you are willing to play a game of cards. It seems kind of silly to me that they have to like the inquisitor to socialize with their circle but whatever. My question is, can you make it so only Varric, Josephine, and Cullen are there? Is the dialogue any different? It would seem strange without Iron Bull especially. Is there a YouTube video of this? I couldn't find one.
Question about Varric's game of wicked grace...

I think Cassandra only shows up when you have finished Guilty Pleasures (her book quest). Before that she and Varric are not on good enough terms. Don't really know about the rest though.

I'm pretty sure you only get that "quest" when Cassandra actually has some approval towards you, and I always had her in the deep negative. Right after reaching Skyhold and becoming Inquisitor I found her in a dark corner drinking in the armory.

There was only one person absent in my first game of Wicked Grace, and you know who that was. I would've liked a post-game session of that, because it was tons of fun.

Yeah you're right, you gotta have enough of her approval for that quest to show up.
I suppose it makes sense that they only show up when they don't hate you. I know Bull was still there when I had slightly negative approval with him.

I don't think Cassandra hated me. It was more a rivalry thing. We just weren't friends. I guess for her she has to like everyone at the table or card games are out. Pfft. Her loss.
