I played on normal, and IIRC never accidentally left the game on while not playing. I assume that going to the hero menu or radial menu pauses the timing, if not then that could have added to the time...

While we're at it, I ended up with 215 power, what is the point of ending up with so much unused power? At some point I stopped doing requisitions because I didn't need any more power.

On my first playthrough (110 hours) I believe my power was almost exactly 200 at the end, so we're not far off. Yeah, all that power needed for nothing. I did those requisitions but stopped when realizing they just kept looping the geological surveys.

The timer goes no matter what you're doing so long as you're playing I believe.

Awakening is the only 'expansion' Dragon Age has had.

Shale and Sebastion, Return to Ostagar, Legacy, Witch Hunt- all of those were DLC.  Likewise, Mass Effect never had an expansions, but everything from that crappy 'fight forever!' ME1 DLC to the more well-recieved Lair of the Shadowbroker and Citadel were DLC's.

What's the difference?  An expansion is generally more of a 10-20 hour thing (usually), and often adds more mechanics.  DLC's are usually 3 or so hours (some even less- you could complete Witch Hunt very quickly, as well as that other ME1 DLC), and just focused on story content.

More and more games are doing DLC's rather then expansions.  Heck, one of the few games I can think of that does expansions is The Sims.  And their expansions are... yes.  (And they do DLC type stuff too, in those 'Stuff Packs' type things.)
