I've been trying to finish the Seeing Red quest for Varric, and still have a few red lyrium veins to find in Emprise. I got the ones on the Storm Coast and Hinterlands after finally defeating that Frostback, but the game has already given me the 'quest completed' message for this and now it's been moved to the completed quests section. When I still tried to find one of the remaining veins in Emprise, I got no approval from Varric, who was in my party at the time. Plus, everytime I walk past a red lyrium vein, I get another 'quest completed' message over and over and over and over.

 

Also, Valammar enemies are still respawning even after I defeated the Carta and sealed the tunnel in there. While not really game breaking (yet, as far as I know) and probably a well known bug, will I still be able to do his other companion quest Well S***t later?

The enemies in Valammar do respawn and it's actually a good way to farm Highever Weave. It hasn't caused any problems in any of my playthroughs.

Thanks for the info! I just wish I knew if it was something I did to cause this. I'm in the middle of my 2nd PT right now and didn't have any problems like this my first go!

Oh, and the respawn of the "Quest completed" is a bug and has been there from the start. It can happen with other quests, as well. It's not something that you caused yourself, so no worries. It is annoying, though. Sorry that I forgot to mention that.

Yeah, it's been here form patch 3 on at least. It happens to me every game. I usually go have my warrior destroy them just to get the diamonds off the map. No big deal, just Varric's rather unique way of constantly reminding you that he hates red lyrium.

On the plus side, I've gotten lots of different fade-touched materials though. Fade-touched Dragonling scales, Halla Leather, Lustrous Cotton, Dales Laden Wool, etc that I never saw in my first playthrough
