Basic hygiene is very important.  And unfortunately lost on a lot of people.

Okay, how do the women in these thread think about men paying for meals? I have been on a few situations where the other person didn't like it. Trying to explain that I did it because it was "nice" and not because I think the man is the provider was mad weird

I love free food.

If I don't like the guy, I won't let him pay though.  Don't want to send the wrong message or have him think I "owe" him or something.

I self-diagnosed when I was taking psychiatric nursing. I'm like, "YES! Not a psychotic! But possibly OCD."

Technically communication.  But we overlap with a lot of psych and neuro conditions.

In my opinion, the man should definitely pay for the meal.

 

 

I love free food.

Worse date you have ever been on? I feel like the movies are the worst place for a first date. Trying to get to know the person and the movie kinda comes in the way of that

Worse date you have ever been on? I feel like the movies are the worst place for a first date. Trying to get to know the person and the movie kinda comes in the way of that

A guy took me to a political fundraiser thing once.  I think he was thinking it was a nice party with an open bar and passed apps and all.  You know like taking someone to a wedding but with out all the commitment hanging in the air.  We'd been on two dates before.  Turns out we very much did not have the same political affiliation.

 

Fun way to find out you misjudged someone.  I'm sure y'all have better stories.  Keep em coming!

I agree, the movies aren't the best place for a date plus if it's a really loud club, then I dont like it either cause you wont be able to hear each other really.

Then just near another view, just some place nice, a nice walk is usually a good start, you get to hold hands or take her in your arm.

Ha! Yeah.  I'm getting a masters in speech-language pathology.  We definitely cover ASD.  I had a whole class of "social language" kids in middle school last semester.

 

My silly masters project that I needed the approval for is on foreign accent modification therapy.  It's fun stuff.

Ohhhhh that is awful. Mistake he made was exposing his affiliation like that, but you would probably have found out anyway.

The beach is good! Just having time to talk the both of you is great IMO.

Did that on my first date with my husband. 

The bowling.  Not the going home with someone else.

It was candlepin too, which was weird.  I haven't even seen that since then.

Yeah and if you dont have a beach nearby, then just simply take a walk somewhere else. The fact that you can wrap your arm around her and the two of you can talk is what's important, you can warm her if she freezes, lend her your coat, it will be amazing, she will love it.
