Speaking of mounts, how do you get the big box to show up? I keep searching in Val Royeux and it has yet to show up so I can't get it's prize (not spoiling)
Lets talk "mounts"!

We discuss, because we want to.

Strictly speaking the same can be said about everything in the game, so I guess we can all just go home?

I absolutely LOVE the mounts in Inquisition!
After reading a thread recently on reddit about mounts in this game and how 'useless' they were, primarily because you won't hear any party discourse when mounted, it inspired me to search for a pro-mount thread on the official forums and yay, I'm delighted to have found one! ![]()
For me, the mounts aren't about utility or combat, they are just a really nice change of pace. Normally I do run around on foot but when multiple quests have me going back and forth in the same location, often times I'll summon my mount and it makes the 'back and forth' so much more pleasurable simply because it changes things up a bit.
And to be honest, the very first time I mounted my horse in Inquisition, it immediately became clear to me that my Skyrim mount experience will never be the same because the mount animations in Inquisition are so much more fluid and realistic, it makes the Skyrim mount mechanic seem so awkward and cumbersome in comparison.
I remember seeing the a very similar anti-mount argument for Skyrim and how going on foot was much more efficient than bothering with a horse and even while that might be so, it just seems so much more un-heroic to be hoofing it around on foot everywhere. I guess this topic might be separating the gamers who are more interested in roleplay aspect of a roleplaying game, from the gamers who are more interested in combat first and foremost?

OP really needs to remove the "s around "mounts". That's not for emphasis. You use that to indicate that you're heavily implying something else. (Thus commentary about romance options, since if you don't mean horses, what else is there to mount?)
Let's talk mounts. -> Let's talk about the horse/hart options in DAI
Let's talk "mounts." -> Let's talk about some of the things you can mount, if you know what I mean, ohohoho *nudge wink*
Looking for dog. -> I lost poor Fifi, please help me find him :c
Looking for "dog". -> Looking for casual encounter with furry, must own dogsuit
Free cupcakes! -> Please take one and enjoy the rest of the event.
"Free" cupcakes! -> If you take one and we will send someone to harvest your kidneys later.
Pretty much any time you see a "word" in "quotes" then you can "picture" this emoticon ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) right beside it, and not be far "off-base".

It will be interesting to see how The Witcher 3 handles mounts, and whether it is something worth copying for the next DA game.
