Bored for being OP? What difficult level were you playing? I have 26 promotions with the Ele and I don't feel that OP. It is true that the Ele is one of the most powerful characters, likely top 3, but still..
Also, since you left a match mid game I assume you were playing with pugs. Perilous with pugs is not usually easy.
I have finally completed 250 successful games with the Elementalist.
I'd like to thank everyone - friends, acquaintances and pugs - who tolerated my mania for Firestorming all the things without ever showing me a red skull of disapproval. For the sake of everyone's eyesore (including mine) it is finally over.

I have shown the red skull of disapproval to Vegan before. I love firestorm though.

perilous. about 15 promotions in each (will/cunn/cons all at 25).
I meant after playing a game rather than middle of the match. I generally set aside a few hrs to play games in an evening and after a few games of being op elementalist I just sighed and turned my machine off. perlious pugs with elementalist was quite easy for me since I could do just about everything and the others in the room are just there to distract the very few enemies who I can't shutdown. sure I could switch to a less steamroll class but then that just has me getting enraged at pug stupidity. just little middle ground here between the really strong and the really trying classes when it comes to pugs, lol.
in perilous pugs the easiest classes for completions so far for me have been:
arcane warrior -> just solo it
elementalist -> barrier + cc. let scrubby dps handle boss with loads of barrier help, and trash the mob yourself.
with those two classes, I really don't care too much how geared and experienced the pug is.
everything else I have worry about what team I'm going to get. yes, even keeper, since if you get weak dps team you are going to lose. The last player standing keeper hopelessly spamming static cage on zone 5 is a recurring nightmare for me. If your team are not putting things down fast enough, what can you do, you can only barrier so much.
I am 200 runs in with Ele and I just stopped playing firestorm. LOL. I prefer to cast another spell.
