People such as myself have conquered the blight fending off endless darkspawn, we've witness the heroic tale of the Champion of Kirkwall and now we've took the role of the inquisitor and saving the lands from demonic demons from the fade.

Throughout these epic tales we've come across characters we've loved and hated. Out of all characters throughout the series who has been your most faviroute and memorable character?

I love the underdogs. People like hating them but without them, there wouldn't be debates.

So far my favorite Dragon Age character is from surprisingly my least favorite part of the series. Sigrun from Awakening. I hate playing Awakening but I love Sigrun to no end.

This is hard. :(

I'd say Solas as my absolute favourite, because I like him both as a character and as a person. Most of my other favourite characters (Morrigan, Flemeth, etc), I always seem to end up antagonistic towards even if I love them.

Of course, after that epilogue...

I'm going to have to go with Cole. Ever since I read Asunder, he's one of my favourite characters, but since DA:I, I love him even more. Since he's our first spirit companion he's even more interesting and memorable, and I take him with me pretty much always, just to hear the interesting banter.

Also:

Dorian: Cole, the wooden duck I found on my bed... was that you?

Cole: No. I'm not a wooden duck.

I also really love Dorian, it was a close call between those two.

Honorary mentions go to Alistair, Zevran, Morrigan and Fenris.

I know nothing about DA:I characters so only from first two games:

Alistair is my fav one, by far.

Who I hated the most. Oh boy. Merrill and that anime reject Fenris, no doubt. Two most annoying characters in Bioware history.

Flemeth is  my favourite character.  The most annoying would be Fenris and Blackwall. The most forgettable Oghren and Wynne.

Is the least liked Character restricted to companions? If not I think Leandra is probably my least favorite I really really really don't like her something about her really gets under my skin and just makes me angry. As far as companions go I'm not sure maybe Solas? I don't hate him but I do find him rather dull and just can't get into his character or his flippant way of thinking but thats more of meh at best and a dislike at the most.

Morrigan, by far. Dragon Age is not the same without her, she represents the series.

Merrill > Morrigan :)

With Morrigan you always walk on eggs with her and never know what she will do or say next. Though an interesting character and my warden totally romanced her, I just cannot trust her (we went through the mirror together in the end).

Merrill is that (former) outcast of her group who tries to do things right, while doing them all wrong, producing a wake of destruction on the way. Breaking everything, I will never forget the comment/banter she made while exploring "Sorry about the dresser!" or similar and went on ^^ Once I was back at our place, I found traces of someone moving furniture over the balustrade...

While hunting down and slaying the damn mages in Kirkwall, she was absolute with me and by my side all the way through (being a mage herself)!

I was happy to hear from Varric, she is leading the Dalish clan now. As it was her path all the time.

I haven't met Morrigan in DA:I yet and cannot judge.

For me that would be Alistair - can't get enough of him!

The most forgettable Oghren and Wynne.

Wynne is too annoying to be forgettable...

We only met briefly in Ostagar and at the mages tower... her tragic death.

It's a tie between Aveline and Merrill. Aveline is solid in terms of writing, in-game character and gameplay. Merrill is a loose cannon. She may be dabbling in blood magic and demon summoning, but she, of all the people, will hate your guts if you hand over Fenris - the same Fenris who fancies himself her personal scourge and nemesis - to the magisters. She may act in her banter scenes like a manic pixie dream girl, but she goes brooding in her personal quests. If only she was better written...

I actual romanced her for being different and after Ander' betrayal she was 100% loyal to Hawke no matter what. This is what really made me remember her, to "stand by her man" even if it means killing other mages.

p.s. Let's say of the people Hawke travelled with, Merrill was the one he trusted with his life.

Probably Flemeth.  Most interesting character for me and the reveal tied in with the storyline very nicely.

I also found Anders to be particularly interesting in an otherwise bland cast of characters in DA2.  I liked Merrill too.

In terms of usability, Vivienne hands down.  Her KE abilities and personality made her one of my most often selected companions in DAI.

This is hard... There are so many great characters.
But I would say Flemeth and Cullen. (Nope, I cannot choose between them)

They have both such interesting personalities in completely different ways and their character development is great.

Really? The yarn knitting granny annoyed you? I forgot she existed between the games.

My favorite has been my male human noble, of course.

But if we are to choose from companion characters, then I would say... Cassandra. I just like her a lot in Inquisition, and her roles in DA2 and DotS were good too. She has a developed history, and her backstory is intricate, diverse, and impactful. She has a good personality, she's intelligent, and she is reasonable. She will change her opinion to fit the facts, which I think is a rare quality.
