It takes 3 to 5 extra minutes to do doors and this results in less promotions in same amount of time played.

 

Someone could go down, which could be a problem for a completion of mission as the enemy gains strength as players go into the fade.

 

If you dont have a lot of good equiptment or promotions play a keeper as they dont require as much gear - give barriers!

 

I play a lot of random matches and many of them they are opening doors and I accept it and help them get it done or I leave.

 

Just one last thing for all to think about. When you promote you always get an upgrade to the equiptment you have. When you buy boxes many times you get nothing to improve your charecter or equiptment.

 

50 willpower = +25 attack and increased magic defense so you wont burn to death from wraiths.

 

50 cunning = 25% chance to crit and those arrows wont hurt so bad.

 

50 constitution - 5 health and 25 to melee defense

 

as you can see above to two superb rings of crit chance, 10% each dont equal 50 cunning plus you cant stack the rings.

 

That is why I dont do doors and I suspect many others feel the same.

 

When I first started I needed to do the doors and I respect that many people need to do doors but please respect those who dont want to do the doors.

There are plenty of threads that complain about people not opening doors. Even insulting them.

 

Now he is just asking for respecting THOSE people who deliberately don't open doors.

 

why should posting that be a reason not to respect him ?

 

I open doors! But only for my teammates when I notice in what kind of PUG I am.

This usually shows after 1 min. of playing.

 

My personal opinion is that it is not worth it and

I am sad about how boring the lousy rewards make those rooms.

For people that have not garnered a billion gp promotions don't mean jack.

Almost no one will ever go down if all 4 team members are present.  a decent 4 man team beats the hell out of chest bosses before they can hardly do a thing.  They do become a threat one one or more people run ahead.

So all people should play as a keeper to keep the dumb speed runners happy?  Gotcha.

I don;t have fun when some mook runs ahead, starts a spawn and either gets killed or opens the next door before I am done looting.  Here is a better idea, speed runner?  Play solo.  At the very least  in the 1st room tell me you are going to be a speed runner so I can leave the game.

Who are you talking to? Neither of the posts above yours said anything about whether they respected his opinion, or even disagreed with it. Aren't you jumping the gun slightly? Give it time. Based on past experience, you'll have your opportunity, I'm sure. But who knows?

Wow, I did not know that, thanks for letting me know. I have a question though. Why would you need all these stats and bonuses? So that you can solo gold with level 1 hunter? I don't think so. The game is not that difficult and surely can be beaten without all this abuse by a reasonable player or with a good team? No? Ugh, I'm sorry then. Aha, you want to be number one in some leader board that nobody cares about? I just fail to see the reasoning.

 

Otherwise, if it is your idea of fun, just don't try to impose it on everyone else.

Didn't read but my two cents:
Play how you want. You get about 400% more gold by grabbing everything. Don't believe the hype. Tested for months.
If you're most interested in promotions, you should speed run. If you want to get some decent gear before you try keeping up with the Jone's, you should loot everything. Mostly you should accommodate your group. Or play an assassin and solo those bitches.

This is as good a place to ask as any... What's the formula for Barrier? Is it at all dependent on the staff, or can you really just take a Keeper with an Inquisition Staff and contribute in Perilous?
