Is it possible to resize the area by 1 or 2 tiles for exterior areas? I just tried to resize one and all it did was move placeables. Is there a plugin that might do this?

Area sizes for exterior areas must be in a multiple of four. You can get around this by flattening the undesired area down to a low height and painting it black in color, such as how SoZ handles the edges of it's overland maps.

I don't have the toolset around at this time, but I think you can change the size in the area properties. And if that's not good enough for your needs, you still have the Terracoppa option.

Yes, I was thinking about trying terracoppa. It copies objects, triggers, textures, terrain, etc?

Resizing in the area properties window is what I did before, but all it did for me with these settings: (-1 North, +1 South, -2 East, +2 West) was move the objects instead of deleting any part of the area. It must be a weird bug of some sort.

I suspect those area resizing functions only work reliably for interior tilesets. I would try Kamal's suggestion to be sure though, and see if you can change the area size in increments of four.

The area properties resizing works reliably on exteriors, but it's got the x4 size restriction. Remember that you don't have to use the full size of an area, you can have a 16x16 area and have only 1x1 of it walkable if you wanted, just by painting down with the non-walk brush. Interiors you can resize by +-1

I've never had any bugs with an otherwise successful use of terracoppa, the worst I've managed to do with it is crash it. Since it has checkboxes for different object categories, you might want to try unselecting things until you are only moving the things you really want.
