Hello, Everyone!

It's my first time posting on this forum so I'm probably doing it all wrong and possibly in the wrong area but here goes. I know this is an unbelievably old topic but is anyone having any problems with decompression errors with this thing? I have re-downloaded each piece on the moddb site and followed the readme to the letter yet I'm still having errors. It's a beautiful mod and I would really love to implement it since i just recently bought the ME trilogy and thought I'd give it a go, sadly no chance in it happening since these errors are recurring. It's probably worth mentioning that I have no prior modding experience so I'm probably ignorant to a few things PC-wise but I know enough to figure out that this mod seems to be plug-n-play, minus editing the BioEngine ini file. All help, if any would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Don't use the moddb links as they're quite outdated, to the best of my knowledge. Use the Nexus link.

http://www.nexusmods...effect/mods/1/?

Follow the instructions on the page before hand and make the necessary ini adjustment. If you still have problems let me know and I'll try to help out. Its a fantastic little mod even if it does take a little bit of effort to set up. It'll be worth your time, trust me.

EDIT: I checked Moddb and the files do look to be up to date. So I was wrong about that.

You say you downloaded 'each piece' on moddb. May I suggest you instead download the torrent file instead? It'll ensure nothing gets corrupt. Try also installing a program called 7-Zip for the unpacking. If you're relying on native Windows software to take care of it there might be an issue - I'm not sure.

Infact, to quote the author himself from Nexus when responding to someone who had a similar issue:

"you are mishmashing versions of the mod, from Moddb. Moddb Gamefront links contain a very old version of the mod which has "ME1UITM" the latest version is MEUITM no 1 in the name. Versions are not interchangeable."

He then suggests the user download either the direct or torrent link instead. I don't know if this applies to your situation aswell but it might be worth a try.

I'll definitely try what you said, been using WinRaR to try and unpack them and I've also read that there might be a download corruption issue as well so we'll see how that goes haha. I'll keep you updated hopefully withing the next day or so. Thank you so much for the pointer I'll use it to the best of my knowledge!

yeah I tried using this mod recently as well. Tried everything I knew an dfollowed the instructions to the letter just couldn't get them to work. Gave up in the end besides I'm happy to leave ME1 as it is so wasn't a big deal to me.

That's interesting. The torrent should have worked. I literally installed it a day before you made this topic (Well, reinstalled as I was using an older version). Gimme a moment to work up some screenshots and I'll see if I can't piece together a short little guide. Maybe you're missing a step?

Edit: This will be conducted via PM. If we figure out a solution I'll share it here.

I loaded the full mod from Nexus over the weekend.  I did not have any issues, but I used the Nexus manual download.  I think my account status allows me unlimited downloads both size and bandwidth.  I had no issues installing and everything looks beautiful.  So, there is that option of downloading the single 7zip file; that definitely works.

Origin ME1 on a Win7 64 machine.  Note: I am having other issues with ME1 stability on this machine, but those existed before loading the mod.

Problem was resolved. Downloading the full file and extracting the zip into a new folder within the ME3 game folder seems to have did the trick. Not sure what specifically caused it to work this time around  but at least its fixed. Thought I'd share that incase anyone else had issue and wanted the bit of insight.
